Annual Bass Lake Home Tour This Saturday

BASS LAKE — If you have ever spent time on Bass Lake enjoying the breezy ambiance and sparkling water, you may have noticed the magnificent homes that dwell along the shores of the lake.  Have you ever wanted to view these homes up close and personal? Well, here is your chance to participate in a self-guided tour that benefits several local nonprofit organizations.

The 12th Annual Bass Lake Home Tour will take place on Saturday October 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Bass Lake Lions Club in conjunction with Bass Lake Realty.

Many custom homes will be graciously offered for touring by their owners. Self-guided tours will begin in The Pines Village at Bass Lake beside the Bass Lake Realty office. The Lions Club will prepare and serve a delicious hamburger lunch, included in the price for tour participants, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Among the opportunities? Tour-goers will appreciate the lovely five-bedroom home of Tim and Melinda Werner in Lakeshore Park. Immediately after purchasing the home, the Werners proceeded to remodel and update it. The result is a beautiful, customized lakefront home of over 5,000 square feet, featuring alder cabinetry, stone counters, and a Helela limestone shower with a porcelain floor.

The Bass Lake Home Tour was proposed as a way for the Lions Club to continue funding its charitable activities. Proceeds from this year’s tour will benefit four deserving mountain area non-profit organizations: Eastern Madera County SPCA, Madera Sheriff’s Department Boat Unit, Oakhurst Elementary School, and the Wasuma Children’s Garden.

Advance ticket purchase for the Bass Lake Home Tour is $20 per person (adults only) or $25 per person on the day of the event. Tickets are available from any Bass Lake Lions Club member or Bass Lake Realty office in The Pines Village.

For further information and tickets, contact Beth Carver, Lions Club Chairperson and Bass Lake Realty Managing Broker, at 559-642-3600.
