HANFORD – The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather alert of north to northeast wind gusts from 30 to 50 mph for much of the area where the Creek Fire is burning this evening and into the night. These strong, gusty winds will likely result in extreme fire behavior creating even more challenging conditions for the firefighters.
Please follow all evacuation orders and recommendations as severe winds are likely to make unpredictable fire behavior even worse.
