ACT Dog Of The Week: Meet Marvelous Marvin

The Animal Compassion Team (ACT) foster and adoption program introduces Marvin:

Hello, there! Are you looking to find your new soul mate? Well, look no further! My name is Marvin. I am about four years old, weighing around 35-pounds, and I could sure help your life be fulfilled! I just want you to stare into my eyes… a little more… okay, can you see yourself with me now?

The answer better be yes! I mean, I have so many great traits. We think I’m a mix of Basset Hound, Lab, Pit Bull and Border Collie. I dunno, but I’m lookin’ good!

You could take me anywhere you go because I am friendly and I love long walks! I am also very handsome, everyone will be jealous! I promise not to judge your love of peanut butter and banana sammiches if you share the crust with me. Marvin loves peanut butter, too.

Also, if you can drop a couple zucchini fries under the table for me I won’t tell. The best part of our partnership is I am a clean boy. I eat what you drop, I’m house-trained, micro-chipped, neutered and up-to-date on all my shots.

So, look no further — I am the guy for you, and I am ready to be a part of your family.

Are we a match?

Marvin will be available at PetSmart River Park in Fresno on Friday, Aug. 4 from 2 – 6 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

You can also email Marvin’s foster mom at riley.hardison@icloud.com for more info or to set up a meet and greet.

UPDATE: Aug. 8 — good news! Marvin has been adopted after someone read the story in SNO and their meet ‘n great was a good one. Congratulations, Marvin!

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Aug. 9 — Marvin’s overnight didn’t work out, so he’s available again.

Adoptable Dogs

Animal Compassion Team

Animal Compassion Team is a nonprofit animal rescue organization whose goal is to save as many homeless pets as possible. We are volunteer based organization and receive no funding from local government.

We believe that all dogs and cats are as individual as adopters and make great effort to help match your family with the pet that is best suited for you. Through lifelong commitments and healthy fulfilled lives we believe pets are able to become the best they can be and amazing relationships are built.
