OAKHURST — At 1 p.m. today emergency crews were called out to respond to an accident over Deadwood on Highway 41 between Oakhurst and Coarsegold.
Both lanes were initially blocked and one-way traffic control was put in place following the two-car collision. By 2 p.m. both lanes were open and traffic continues to be delayed as crews work to remove the vehicles and clean up the site. The truck involved in the wreck has been moved to the side of the road.
Ambulances transported patients to Skylife helicopter at the Vons landing zone in Oakhurst.
Continue to watch for responders and be prepared for delays.
Traffic was backed up for several miles in both directions. Alternate routes are advised. If traveling 425B please drive carefully.
