BASS LAKE – One juvenile was killed and another injured during a boating accident on Bass Lake this afternoon.
At around 5:30 p.m., Cal Fire, Madera County Sheriff and Sierra Ambulance responded to the dock at Miller’s Landing after calls came in of an accident on the lake.
A witness who does not wish to be identified, says the two teens were run over by a jet ski, but that has not been confirmed by the Sheriff’s Office.
The injured teen was taken by boat to the dam where SkyLife air ambulance landed for transport to a valley hospital.
Paramedics worked for a long time on the other young man, but were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
