A Celebration Of Betty Lyon's Life

Grace Community Church in North Fork was overflowing on Friday, July 6, 2012, with friends and family in celebration of the life of Betty Lyons. The Citizens On Patrol were well represented at the services, as Betty and Ed spent almost 10 years volunteering in this organization.

Betty also served for 16 years with the North Fork Volunteer Fire Department, and she would have been honored that both the COPs and Fire Department vehicles were part of the procession that wound through North Fork as everyone made their way to the graveside service.

Daughter Diane called it a “glorious gathering,” and presented a slide show of Betty’s life that is available for viewing on facebook (click here to view).

The program for the service was filled with remembrances by Betty’s children and grandchildren, and they were gracious enough to provide them to S|N|O so that we could share them with you.Betty Lyons Photo for Program 7-6-12

Betty was an enthusiastic member of Squirrel Cage Theatre, and the photo chosen for the program was one of her doing something she loved, performing on stage.
