After a two year absence, the Mariposa Search and Rescue (SAR) Team Will Host the 10th Annual Fundraiser Dinner
MARIPOSA – The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team will be hosting the 10th Annual Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, March 26, 2022. The event will be held in Building A at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds.
Technical demonstrations will begin at 5 PM. The 6 PM sit-down rib, sausage, beans, salad and dessert dinner will be prepared by the Lions Club and served by SAR Team members.
To-go dinners will be available for pick up.
A limited number of $25 tickets are available from SAR members and at the Sheriff’s Office. Contact Kristie or Andrea at 966-3615 for information and tickets.
A wide assortment of Raffle prizes will be available as well as special cakes being auctioned.
In Case You Missed It: Efforts In Place To Save Mariposa Hospital
The SAR Team is made up of volunteer members ranging in age from high school students to retirees.
Members are required to provide their own equipment, such as hiking gear, GPS units, backpacks, tents, climbing harnesses, headlamps and 4×4 vehicles.
The equipment and training are expensive, and, with the exception of Swiftwater Rescue equipment, nearly everything is bought by members or through donations.
Mariposa Search and Rescue is currently in need of volunteers. To join, please pick up an application at the Sheriff’s Office.
