OAKHURST — Do you know a local mom-to-be or people with small children? Expectant moms and families of children five-and-under are invited to the Sierra Mountain Community Baby Shower on Saturday, Mar. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church.
As always, the event is free and this year — the seventh annual — it happens to fall on St. Patrick’s Day, so it’s extra lucky.
One of the most special events in the foothills, the community baby shower puts moms together with what moms need: a little attention and perhaps some pampering, along with the opportunity to bring home free important items for their kids.
Volunteer personal shoppers will guide moms through rooms filled with new and used infant and toddler clothing, car seats, swings, blankets, diapers, wipes and more. Mothers are welcome to choose items they need at no charge. All items are limited to availability.
Guests may want to complete their excursion with a bit of luxuriating in the spa room and a visit to one of many resource booths.
There are lots of volunteer opportunities for this event. For ways to participate please contact event organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org
On Tuesday, Mar. 6, organizers are planning a Bake Sale to raise funds for the community baby shower.
Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church is located at 39696 Highway 41 in Oakhurst.
