5th Of July Bass Lake Clean Up Day

BASS LAKE — Once the Independence Day revelry has retired from the lake — what’s left? A mess, that’s what. This year, volunteers are organizing to put that post-4th of July mess in its place, as a member of The Grove Foursquare Church in Ahwahnee invites the community to a Bass Lake clean-up event on Friday, July 5.

Tim Miller is the NextGen youth pastor at The Grove and he officially has put the challenge out to anyone who loves a clean lake like he does — meet at The Forks parking lot on Friday, July 5 at 9 a.m.

Miller has lived here all his life and says he’s complained plenty of times about the lake being dirty after the Independence Day holiday and it doesn’t really help. Now, this year, he’s willing to stop complaining and do something about it and hopes others will join in.

“The idea is to get people in the community working together toward the same good cause,” explains Miller.

Please bring your own gloves, trash bags, trash pickers, water or anything else you may need to help clean up our community’s lake after the big 4th of July holiday.
