$50,000 In Grants Available For Criminal Justice

MARIPOSA — The Mariposa County Probation Department is seeking requests for proposals (RFP) from the Mariposa County community for innovative programs or projects that prevent, improve and/or addresse issues related to criminal justice. Any individual, organization or group may apply for the grant funds. A nonprofit status is not required.

The Local Innovation Grant is supported by funds in the Community Corrections Partnership budget. This year a total of $50,000 is available for one or more programs or projects in Mariposa County that best articulate how the funds will be used to service individuals or families that are involved in the justice system or, who are at risk of entering the system. Priority will be given to programs or projects that identify a major gap(s) in local services currently offered, and best articulate how they will use the funds to close or eliminate the gap(s).
