MARIPOSA — Take your children by the hands, look both ways before crossing the street, and come to the 28th annual Children’s Fair on Saturday, Sept. 30th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Mariposa County Park.
The event is sponsored by Infant/Child Enrichment Services along with other agencies, organizations, child care centers, and licensed family child care providers. The Fair offers fun, free activities including play dough art, bubbles, and face painting as well as a variety of games, and other art and craft activities geared towards children ages one through 12.
Mariposa Martial Arts will be on hand for demonstrations at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and Mariposa Search and Rescue reps are set to be on site during the day, as well.
Fair favorite Gussie Kidd is doing bubbles on behalf of the Methodist Church after school program, TGIF, and the Balloon Belles are planning to attend the Fair. Child car seat and traffic safety info will be available, along with pet rocks. Tacos Sonora will also join in again this year to provide reasonably priced snacks or lunch.
These are only a small sampling of what’s happening — children and youth will have a chance to create, play, hear live music by The Sound Man and enjoy family time in fun, free and safe atmosphere.
The Children’s Fair is a family event and organizers ask that all children be accompanied by an adult.
The Mariposa County Park is located at 4998 County Park Road.
