OAKHURST – Members and families of the YHS Badger Band and Color Guard are celebrating today after students participated in the 51st Annual Selma Rotary Marching Band Festival. On Saturday, Oct.31, Badgers won 1st Place, Band, in Division 2A for the parade performance. According to band parent Virginia, mom of Thomas Lazar, “percussion was awarded the most points in their division for their performance,” and “awards were only given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall for the 36 bands attending.” Click on images to enlarge.
