14th Annual Mariposa Yosemite Rotary Art & Wine Festival

MARIPOSA – The Mariposa Yosemite Rotary invites those from near and far to an afternoon of fine art and wine tasting on Saturday, May 26, on the lawn at the historic Mariposa County Courthouse. In the heart of Mariposa, underneath the trees, it’s a perfect setting in which to enjoy local artists’ works while tasting great foothill wines.

The fun kicks off at 11 a.m. and continues until 6 p.m. in the evening. Entry to the event is free and for $10 attendees will receive a commemorative wine glass and 5 tickets to enjoy different tastings at any of the featured wine booths. Here’s the Facebook page for the Mariposa Yosemite Rotary Art & Wine Festival.

Among the many local wineries featured will be Butterfly Creek Winery, Casto Oaks Winery, Vista Ranch & Cellars, Silver Fox, Rauch Ranch, Quady, Oak Ridge, Casto Oaks, and Papagni. At the beer booth Sierra Cider will be offering a taste of their locally grown apple ciders.

The numerous artist booths on display cover a broad range of artistic mediums – including painting, sculpture, pottery, beading, jewelry, woodworking, photography weaving and texture art.

Get there early to join the raffle containing regional prizes and cash giveaways. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available throughout the event, a fundraiser for the Mariposa Yosemite Rotary Club planned with assistance from the Mariposa Arts Council.
