$100,000 In Grant Funds For Women And Children Nonprofits

MOUNTAIN AREA — Local nonprofits serving women and children for at least three years may be eligible for a share of $100,000, provided they qualify and apply for the funds by Jan. 11, 2019.

The Board of Directors of the Central California Women’s Conference (CCWC) is seeking local community benefit organizations serving women and children to apply for a share of the $100,000 in available grant money. The recipients will be recognized at CCWC’s Community Celebration Grant Reception on Tuesday, Apr. 23.

All grant requests must be submitted online. The criteria for grant submissions and application can be found here. Applicants must serve the needs of women and/or children in the Central California region, which includes Madera, Mariposa, Fresno, Merced, Kings and Tulare counties.

All grant applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019. Awards will be made only to qualifying non-profits serving women and children for at least three years.

When this year’s grant awards are included, CCWC says it will have donated more than $1,100,000 to central California non-profits serving women and children. Funding has benefited recipients by providing an array of services ranging from mammograms to food, shelter, clothing, education and more.

Now in its thirty-second year, more than 94,150 women have attended the Central California Women’s Conference. This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019 at the Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center.
