OAKHURST — Yosemite High Athletics will offer live streaming of varsity athletic events this year, through a new partnership with NFHS Network online.
“Through generous donations by Adventist Health and Sierra Tel, the Sports Marketing and Business Management Class at Yosemite will be producing as many home games as they can this year,” says YHS Athletic Director Rusty Oetinger.
“This gives extended families and friends the opportunity to watch athletes that they know, live over the internet.”
Initially, the school plans to live stream home games and playoff events.
“Eventually we will be live streaming some away games as well,” explains Oetinger. “With your subscription to NFHS Network you help to benefit all of the sports programs at Yosemite High School.”
Examples of long range benefits the school plans to fund with the help of the live stream subscription include refurbishing or replacing scoreboards at the baseball and softball fields, adding a sound system for softball games, providing additional wrought iron fencing to continue the improvement of the stadium, and helping to fund new lift racks for athletes in the weight room.
