Workshop Focuses On The Details Of Nonprofit Management

OAKHURST – Anyone involved in a nonprofit organization will want to take advantage of this opportunity on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 1 to 5 p.m.

This seminar will explore the duties and responsibilities of boards of directors of nonprofit corporations and members of government committees will. It will cover parliamentary procedures, ethics, liability issues, officers’ roles, open meeting laws and other areas of effective community leadership.Instructor Robert Hand has taught nonprofit management at the graduate level at Fresno State. He is co-author and trainer of the train-the-trainer series Leaders Without Limits, and primary facilitator for the Community Leadership Academy.

Robert has provided non-profit management consulting for boards of directors and management staff across California. He has been on numerous nonprofit boards, and has been an executive director of nonprofits for over thirty years.

Charge for the workshop is $25, presented at the Positive Living Center, 49269 Golden Oak Drive, Suite 103, just across from Western Sierra Nursery, from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9.
