OAKHURST — Yosemite Gateway Inn Restaurant and Bar are now offering a new whiskey and bourbon experience to entice the refined palate and the curious alike, with Whiskey Wednesdays, starting Jan. 25.
Each week features whiskey and the evening’s special dish to go along with it.

An inviting central fireplace and comfortable low seating adds to the ambiance, as you watch weather move through the Oakhurst basin from panoramic windows. This may be the best vantage point in town for sitting back and savoring the signature blends of barrel-aged spirits such as whiskey or bourbon.
Bar manager Dene Seal stocks more than 40 whiskeys, half of which are bourbons. He understands the process of making the spirits, offering the connoisseur and the novice a rare opportunity to expand their knowledge as well as the palate.
“We like whiskeys that get good reviews, that you can enjoy drinking, and that are price-friendly and approachable,” is what Dene has to say about it.
