AHWAHNEE – Wasuma Elementary School, home of the Wildcats, will host their Kindergarten Round-up on Thursday, May 8, starting at 8:30 a.m., according to Principal Jason Mercier.
Parents and guardians are requested to bring with them the following: birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residence.
Kindergarten Round-Up day at Wasuma gives the community an opportunity to meet the children’s teacher, and to learn about the different programs the school has to offer.
According to organizers on Facebook, the learning environment at Wasuma Elementary School is “very positive.”
The Wasuma Parent Teacher Association (PTA) sponsors educational assemblies and family activities after school and in the evenings throughout the year. The school PTA is also active in providing activities and experiences that promote a positive learning environment at the school.
Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s education while enrolled at Wasuma Elementary School. Parent volunteers are encouraged to work in the classrooms with individual and small groups of students.
