Vegetation Fire In Lush Meadows Closes Road

MARIPOSA COUNTY — Firefighters are on scene of a vegetation fire in the Lush Meadows area of Mariposa County on Triangle Road.

Just after 4:30 p.m., reports came in of a vegetation fire burning in the 3500 block of Triangle Road. Resources from Mariposa County, Cal Fire and U.S. Forest Service responded.

First engine at scene reported the fire at just over an acre burning in grass with one structure, a couple vehicles and several outbuildings immediately threatened.

When the Battalion Chief arrived, he ordered Triangle Road closed between Meadow Lane and Darrah Road. CHP responded to implement road closures.

Air Attack was dispatched, along with Tankers 82 and 83 and a helicopter out of Battterson Work Station in Oakhurst.
