OAKHURST – There have been rumors around town that Urgent Care is closing. So we contacted Mary Lisa Russell, Senior Communications Specialist at Community Medical Centers, who sent us a statement from their Chief Executive Officer.“This is a time of rapid change in healthcare, and Community Medical Centers frequently reevaluates its services,” said Craig Castro, CEO, Clovis Community Medical Center and Community Medical Center-Oakhurst. “Our Oakhurst facility continues to serve an important role, however, and there is no plan to close it. Any rumors to the contrary are not accurate.“
Perhaps the retirement of Director Joanne Weston in December sparked some speculation, but we have confirmation that Urgent Care in Oakhurst will continue serving the community.
