OAKHURST – Traffic was snarled on Highway 49 this afternoon after two vehicles collided near the Enterprise Center.
Just after 6 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 11, Allysa Whitesides, 24, of Oakhurst was northbound on Highway 49 in a Toyota Highlander, making a left turn onto Enterprise Drive, when her vehicle collided with a southbound Ford pickup driven by John Wagoner, 61, of Coarsegold.
The northbound lanes were partially blocked as first responders worked to free the female driver from her car. She suffered only minor injuries, but was transported by Sierra Ambulance to Clovis Community as a precaution. Wagoner was not injured.
Madera County Fire Department Engine 212 and Engine 16 responded to the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
