NORTH FORK — Two people walked away from an accident on a wet road tonight, after the empty utility trailer their truck was pulling overturned in front of La Cabana Mexican Restaurant, blocking both lanes.
The late model Ford pickup truck was reportedly headed into town on Road 222 at about 6:30 p.m. this evening, when the vehicle’s brakes locked up, according to one neighbor on scene. Though the trailer overturned, the pickup remained on four wheels.
A neighbor with flares and CHP directed traffic around the scene through the restaurant parking lot, as the trailer was righted and moved out of the road.
According to the CHP website, the truck belongs to a tree-trimming service and arrangements were being made in-house through that business to retrieve the vehicle.
No injuries were reported in the crash and it was cleared by about 7:20 p.m.
