BASS LAKE – District 5 Supervisor Tom Wheeler will hold the next in his series of Town Hall meetings on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pines Resort on Bass Lake.
Cal Fire Battalion Chief Troy Cheek will be one of the featured speakers, along with Firewise Coordinator Roger Maybee. This is a good chance for the public to learn more about how to ensure their homes are ready for wildfire.
Acting District Ranger for the Bass Lake Ranger District, Alan Gallegos, will discuss the Willow Fire and the assessment and restoration plans.
Ashley Smith, Recycling/Operations Manager at Emadco, will discuss the County refuse collection and recycling program, and Ren Hallett, Event Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Madera County, will also be a featured speaker.
There will be time for questions and answers on any subjects of interest for District 5 residents.
The final two Town Hall Meetings for 2015 will be Thursday, Oct. 22 at Wasuma School in Ahwahnee, and Thursday, Nov. 19 at the Oakhurst Community Center.
