Toastmasters Club To Launch Locally

OAKHURST — The first meeting of a Toastmasters club forming in the Oakhurst and Coarsegold area is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 27 at the Oakhurst Branch Library Community Room. Anyone who desires to become a better leader, public speaker or better communicator is invited to attend.

James Comegys, Director of Division 33G for Toastmasters International, will be at the meeting to explain how a Toastmasters club works and how people can learn better leadership and communication skills while having “fun in a friendly and supportive environment.”

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, the organization’s membership exceeds 345,000 in more than 15,900 clubs in 142 countries. Since 1924, the group has helped people of all backgrounds build confidence as speakers and leaders.
