Time To Take Down The Yellow Fire Signs

Fire Danger signsMOUNTAIN AREA — Cal Fire has lifted the burn ban locally and so it’s time to take down the yellow fire signs that many have posted around the mountains. The North Fork Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, which provided the signs, appreciates any help you can offer to accomplish this task.

If you posted signs, the auxiliary asks that you please take them down carefully, since the plan is to use them again next year. They also request that if you see any signs that you personally did not post, please take them down also. Close to 800 signs were distributed throughout the mountain and foothill area.

If you don’t want to store them yourself, give Sandy a call at (559) 877-7796 to have them picked up. Otherwise, you can just keep them until next year and post them again when the fire ban goes into effect.

If a sign you posted has been taken down, it’s a good bet that an auxiliary member has already gotten to it. The Auxiliary appreciates the wonderful support from the mountain community, just as the community appreciates all the Auxiliary has done.
