Time Running Out For Free Disposal Of Tree Slash

NORTH FORK —  Residents who would like to take advantage of the Air Curtain Burner located at the Old Mill Site to dispose of woody slash materials are encouraged to do it sooner than later.

Cal Fire will be suspending the acceptance of material on Saturday, Apr. 29.

The Air Curtain Burners are available to help residents dispose of unwanted brush, tree limbs, stumps and logs. The service is free of charge and is limited to natural vegetation. No processed lumber or unnatural materials will be accepted. There are no size restrictions.

The Air Curtain Burner is located in North Fork at the Old Mill Site just up the hill from Madera County Fire Station #11. The entrance is off Douglas Ranger Station Road.

This service is will be available to the public and contractors every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m to noon.
