Suspect Arraigned On Terrorizing Charges

BASS LAKE – Jason Kissee appeared in Superior Court in Bass Lake this morning, facing four charges of “threatening a crime with the intent to terrorize,” and two counts of making repeated harrassing phone calls.

Kissee, 36, of Coarsegold, was arrested on Sept. 3, after allegedly making dozens of threatening phone calls to several area residents.

At his arraignment this morning, Judge Charles Weiland set Kissee’s preliminary hearing date for Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Bass Lake Superior Court, and told attorneys he would also deal with any motions on bail amount at that hearing.

Kissee could face up to a year in jail if convicted. He remains in custody on $75,000 bond.
