AmeriCorps Applicants Needed!

Do you love the Sierra? Would you like to help restore and protect the Range of Light? Apply today to become one of the 27 members of the 2012 Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps Partnership (SNAP)!

The SNAP program is seeking enthusiastic conservation-minded people to commit to a year of service to protect Sierra natural resources and sustainable communities.

SNAP is a program of the Sierra Nevada Alliance, and places 27 full-time AmeriCorps members at different conservation organizations throughout the Sierra Nevada. Their job will be to assess and restore impaired watershed habitats and increase community stewardship by conducting watershed restoration and ecological monitoring, watershed education, and volunteer recruitment and support.

SNAP is still recruiting for two 2013 positions. They are seeking applicants for the GIS Director position at SFK in Kernville, Calif., and the Grassroots Organizer position with Trout Unlimited in Truckee, Calif.
