Special Sunday Show At Coolwater Ranch

AHWAHNEE — Richard Smith will be playing a Sunday evening show, June 12, at the ranch to close out the Coolwater Season. If you’ve seen a Richard Smith show, you already know he is one of the the absolute greats. If you have not, don’t let this opportunity pass you by.

Richard started playing the guitar at age 5 and has never looked back. Focusing early on the fingerstyle guitar of Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed, he began transcribing classical music, jazz, the gypsy style of Django Reinhardt, bluegrass, ragtime and the blues to Sousa marches.

Now a seasoned performer in his forties with thousands of performances worldwide to his credit, Richard has become renowned across the globe for his mastery of the instrument and for his knock-out entertaining shows.

Richard has played with Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Nato Lima, Tommy Emmanuel, Marcel Dadi, Tommy Tedesco, Joe Pass, Birelli Lagrene, Mark O’Connor, Sam Bush, Stuart Duncan, Martin Taylor, Jorge Morel, Earl Klugh, Victor Wooten and more. He also has a lovely voice, fantastic sense of humor and puts on a mind blowing show!

Passes are available at Oakhurst Feed and at Mountain Feed and Nursery.

Showtime is 5 p.m., doors open at 4:30, on Sunday, June 12. Suggested donation is $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
