Special Meeting Of Yosemite Unified Board Of Trustees

OAKHURST — The office of the recently vacated Superintendent of Yosemite Unified School District has once again announced a Special Meeting of the District Board of Trustees, now scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and is being held in the Yosemite Unified Library located at 50200 Road 427 in Oakhurst.

District Superintendent Cecelia Greenberg reportedly has requested and been granted leave, as an Administrator from the County steps in to fill the void, temporarily.

This newly-scheduled Thursday night meeting conflicts with a previously scheduled meeting of a Citizen’s Action group gathering in the Community Room at Raley’s in Oakhurst. The action committee meeting was scheduled by community members to enable an open discussion and identify potential solutions to the financial crisis facing the district at this time.

On the YUSD Agenda for the Special Meeting are Action Items including Consideration and Approval of a Resolution to Authorize Signatures for Facilities and Funding Documents, as well as Consideration and Approval of Bank Account Signatures.

A closed session will take place with the discussion of “Anticipated Litigation, Significant Exposure to Litigation (Government Code section 54956.9) one case.” This is the same code discussed at the meeting on Monday, Feb. 5, in which District Superintendent Cecelia Greenberg reportedly requested a leave.

The Board of Trustees will then reconvene publicly to open session and report any closed session action, after which the meeting is scheduled to be adjourned.

The District provided a copy of the Agenda for the special meeting, below. The next Board of Trustees meeting will take place on Monday, Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Yosemite High School cafeteria.
