Spangler Promoted In District Attorney’s Office

MADERA COUNTY – Todd Spangler, prosecutor in the Bass Lake Department of the Superior Court, has been promoted to Supervising Deputy District Attorney for Madera County.

Spangler, a graduate of California State University, Fresno, and the University of San Diego School of Law, brings 21 years of experience as a prosecutor to the position.

For the past 14 years, Mr. Spangler, serving as a Deputy District Attorney for Madera County, has specialized in consumer protection, insurance fraud, welfare fraud, gangs, prison crimes, and agriculture crimes.

Spangler served for years as the only prosecutor in the Bass Lake Court, and for the last six months he has been in charge of the District Attorney’s Office Agriculture and Water Crimes Task Force.

In 2008 and 2009, Mr. Spangler was named the Deputy District Attorney of the year by the Madera Elk’s Lodge No. 1918, and Madera Kiwanis Club, respectively.

District Attorney David Linn says that he is pleased to once again follow his new policy of promoting qualified attorneys to supervisory positions from within.
