YOSEMITE — Since 1928, visitors have enjoyed ice skating in Yosemite National Park. The tradition continues, and right now the Half Dome Village Ice Rink offers night skating under the stars.
On Wednesday, Jan. 10, the Half Dome Village Ice Rink hours of operation were updated to reflect the following times:
Monday through Friday the rink is open 1:30 – 7 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, hours of operation are still noon to 9 p.m. Previously the rink opened at noon on weekdays.
Weather permitting, and presuming the Zamboni is operational, sessions are two-and-a-half hours. The Half Dome Village Ice Rink is a family-friendly outdoor skating rink in the heart of Yosemite Valley. In addition to ice skating, visitors can warm their hands at the fire pit and enjoy stunning views of Half Dome.
Tickets can be purchased at the Half Dome Village Tour & Activity Desk adjacent to the Registration Office.
The ice rink is also available for private parties on weekdays. Call 209.372.8319 for more information.
