If you’ve never been inside Simple to Superb, and you’re looking for women’s clothing in styles from yoga pants to dress-up, and much more, prepare yourself to be pleased.

Owner Krista Gorman makes every effort to stock the store with items that ladies use everyday, along with special occasion clothing, all in a variety of sizes that reflect the needs of local shoppers and tourists, too.

“We put a lot of thought into each item we carry, and have limited amounts, so our inventory is constantly changing,” says Krista. She suggests shoppers check back often for something new. “If you love it, get it before it’s gone.”

Cute tops at Simple to SuperbIn terms of sizes, Krista says the shop sells small through large and has, in addition, been expanding its plus size selection for sizes 1x through 3x.

“For pants we carry sizes 2 through 16, and have put a lot of time into finding excellent brands that fit women comfortably,” assures the owner. “My favorite is Ethyl Euro. They have a higher waist and are comparable to Not Your Daughter’s Jeans, but have a more reasonable price point between $60 and $80.”

There’s much more behind the scenes at Simple to Superb than jeans. Krista tries to find a little something for everyone, even kids. The inventory makes the shop not only tempting, but satisfying, as well.

“Growing up my family owned their own business and I have always wanted to do the same. I love being creative, and owning a women’s boutique lets me do that every day.”

Part of owning a business, especially in a small town, is getting to know the community and helping out in any way possible. Krista knows this, and that’s why she’s involved where she can be, including with some mentoring at the high school level.

“We are doing the ROP program with Yosemite High,” explains Krista, “YHS senior Jamie Longmore comes once a week for two hours to get experience working. Last month, we let the girls from Minarets use clothes for their Pink Ribbon Fashion Show, and we recently donated clothes for the Mother’s Day Fashion Show at the Oakhurst Community Center. We also try to donate gift certificates to some of the many women’s groups in town for their different fundraisers and raffles, such as Soroptimists Soup and Salad Luncheon and the Helping One Woman (HOW) dinners.”
