Silver Alert Issued For Woman And Child Missing From Coarsegold

MADERA COUNTY — Law enforcement is searching for a missing woman and a 3-year-old girl, last seen yesterday in Coarsegold.

The woman has been identified as Chyanne O’Conner, age 31. She and her niece, Graesky Johnson, were reportedly last seen by family members on Monday afternoon at about 2:30 p.m.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, O’Connor had traveled from Utah to visit her sister and family in Coarsegold. Shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday, the family contacted the Sheriff’s Office about a possible abduction after Chyanne left with the child, and did not have permission to do so.

The vehicle in which they were traveling has been identified by CHP as a gold 2006 Chevy Silverado pickup with Utah license plate Y809NL.

Chyanne is described as having brown hair, blue eyes, about 5′ 7″ tall and 130 lbs. She is believed to be wearing a black tank top and blue jeans, and a blue/green colored jacket. She also had a shiny black leather backpack with gold trim..

Graesky is described as a Native American female with blond hair and blue eyes, standing 2′ 5″ tall weighing about 30 lbs. She was last seen wearing a blue/green shirt and dark colored pants.

The family is worried that O’Connor may become disoriented due to a medical condition.

So far the Sheriff’s investigation has revealed that O’Connor may have had vehicle trouble or ran out of gas near Tulare on Monday night. An image of her and the child was captured by a store surveillance camera in that area. (see image below).

CHP has issued a Silver Alert across central California and Nevada.
