NORTH FORK — Local author Gaylen Lee will be sharing stories of the Mono as the featured speaker at the Sierra Vista Scenic Byway Association annual meeting on Wednesday, Apr. 13 at 7 p.m. at the North Fork School.
Gaylen is the author of Walking Where We Lived, Memoirs of a Mono Indian Family, and will be speaking on the pre-history of the Scenic Byway.
Also part of the evening will be information on the new things happening on the Byway through partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, and a free drawing for Byway Tour CDs. Refreshments will be served.
For those who have never experienced the Byway, it is a beautiful and relaxing alternative to the crowded conditions you may find in Yosemite, and the vistas are absolutely spectacular.
The Sierra Vista Scenic Byway Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose it is to stimulate interest in educational, interpretive and related activities along the Sierra Vista Scenic Byway.
