NORTH FORK– The Sierra Mono Museum will hold its annual membership appreciation dinner and drive this coming Saturday, Nov. 18, from 11 a.m.– 2 p.m. in Kennedy Hall at the North Fork School.
This event will feature a Thanksgiving style lunch, raffle and auction, cake walk, and members eat for free. Dinner is $10 for the general public, children 10 and under dine for $5.
The public is invited to join, learn about and support the state’s oldest native cultural museum.
The Museum recently received a HUD grant and has launched its Half Century Capital Campaign. Museum representatives will discuss their recent grant award and plans for renovation and expansion. Tours of the museum will be available on a limited basis. The Sierra Mono Museum has been a private, non-profit 501(c)3 institution governed by a Board of Directors since May 9, 1966.
The North Fork School is located at 33087 Rd. 228 in North Fork.
The campaign will conclude with a charity golf tournament and gala dinner scheduled for Spring 2018.
