Two remain hospitalized after stabbing on Sunday night –
MADERA COUNTY – The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a double stabbing near the corner of Avenue 15 ½ and Watson Street, just east of the city of Madera.
Sunday night, Oct. 21, Madera County sheriff’s deputies were called to a fight that broke out between an estimated 10 to 15 people at the above location.When deputies arrived on scene, the group had already dispersed, but a second alert to the sheriff’s office reported that two people had been rushed to a nearby hospital, both victims of stab wounds, according to the a news release from the sheriff’s department.
Two men, ages 23 and 25, remain hospitalized, their conditions unknown. The names of the victims are not being released at this time.
Based on evidence gathered by detectives, the sheriff’s office believes that the victims know their assailants.
The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
