Sheriff’s Local Crime Log Through Apr. 10

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, Apr. 3 to Sunday, Apr. 10, 2016.

Coarsegold assault
On Sunday, Apr. 3 at 3:16 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Chukchansi Casino, Room 506, regarding domestic violence. Suspect pushed the victim and left the casino. There were no injuries. Forward to the Madera County District Attorney’s office for review.

Coarsegold trespassing reported
On Sunday, Apr. 3 at 3:18 a.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 30000 block of Highway 41 in regards to possible trespassing and threats. An investigation was conducted and it was determined that the reporting party was having delusions due to mental issues. Report written for documentation purposes and case closed.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Sunday, Apr. 3 at 2:51 p.m. a deputy was on duty in the 46500 block of Lucky Lane when the deputy was contacted by a subject who was reporting that an individual profiled on Crime Stoppers was inside the business location. The deputy contacted the wanted subject and issued a citation for the warrant arrest out of Fresno.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Sunday, Apr. 3 at 2:56 p.m. a deputy was contacted by a subject in the Coarsegold area who wanted to turn himself in on a number of warrants. Subject was cited out on his warrants.

Bass Lake vehicle burglary
On Sunday, Apr. 3 at 2:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Willow Creek Parking area for a report of a vehicle burglary. No arrest were made and a case report was written.

Oakhurst trespassing
On Sunday, Apr. 3 at 6:25 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 43000 block of Highway 41 for a report of a trespassing. After the call the deputy noticed the left front inner fender wheel lining to Madera County Sheriff marked patrol vehicle popped off. The deputy fixed the inner fender wheel lining. Bass Lake Coroner’s report
On Monday, Apr. 4 at 8:32 a.m. a deputy responded on a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold disturbance
On Monday, Apr. 4 at 1:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Meadow Brook Road in regards to a verbal disturbance. No arrest were made and a case report was written. Case forwarded to adult protective services.

Bass Lake burglary
On Monday, Apr. 4 at 1:50 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 39000 block of Arrow for a burglary report. A report was generated and closed until further investigative leads arise.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Apr. 4 at 3:19 p.m. deputies responded to the Oakhurst sub-station for a cold theft report. The theft occurred in the area of the 49000 block of Vista Heights Lane. A report was generated and later closed.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Monday, Apr. 4 at 2:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the top of Deadwood in regards to a domestic disturbance. An adult male was arrested and transported to the department of corrections. A case report was written and forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for charges to be filed.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Monday, Apr. 4 at 6:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane regarding a subject being chased by Chukchansi Casino Security. The subject was detained and after further investigation it was determind that he was involved in a domestic situation with his wife. He was arrested and transported to Madera County Jail where he was booked. Refer report the District Attorney’s office and to Mariposa County Probation Officer Bennett for charges filed.

Coarsegold intoxication
On Monday, Apr. 4 at 10:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane regarding a female who said she was assaulted by casino security. After further investigation it was determined that the subject had fallen and had been drinking. She was allowed to stay at the casino per management. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst vehicle vandalism
On Monday, Apr. 4 at 10:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Denny’s Restaurant parking lot located within the 40600 block of CA-41 regarding a report of a vandalism to a vehicle. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

North Fork narcotics
On Tuesday, Apr. 5 at 10:13 a.m. a USFS law enforcement officer arrested  a suspect on FS81 in a vehicle containing 30 marijuana plants. Suspect booked at the department of corrections.

Oakhurst fraud
On Tuesday, Apr. 5 at 11:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Royal Oaks Drive in regards to a report of fraud. No arrest was made and a case reprot was written.

Coarsegold man in distress
On Tuesday, Apr. 5 at 11:59 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to an address in the 31900 block of Road 400 for a male subject who had called 911, reporting he was having a bad day and nervous breakdown. Deputy arrived on scene and after talking to the male subject felt this male subject should be transported to MCH to talk to a counselor.

Oakhurst fraud
On Tuesday, Apr. 5 at 2:01 deputy dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation in regards to a fraud report. No arrest were made and a case report was written.

North Fork juvenile arrest
On Tuesday, Apr. 5 at 5:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 Block of Weatherly Lane regarding a juvenile who was possibly intoxicated. Investigation concluded the juvenile had consumed an alcoholic beverage, but was arrested and taken to the Madera County Juvenile Hall on a separate crime.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Tuesday, Apr. 5 at 9:03 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 43000 block of Wells Road West for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, both parties were contacted and found to be intoxicated. An investigation was conducted and found a verbal argument occurred and no physical violence happened. The female party was evaluated for mental status and found okay to stay home. A report was taken to document the incident.

North Fork report of out-of-state abuse
On Tuesday, Apr. 5 at 10:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a report of a female possibly under the influence of a controlled substance. During the investigation, allegations of out of state child abuse were made. Evidence collected and report taken. To be forwarded to detectives and Clovis, New Mexico police for further investigation.

Oakhurst burglary
On Thursday, Apr. 7 at 10:13 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 42000 CA-41 regarding a burglary to the business. The suspect entered through an unlocked back window and forced open the interior double doors. Report taken for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst runaway juvenile
On Thursday, Apr. 7 at 10:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Courtney Lane regarding a male juvenile that had just run away. The juvenile was located and returned home. The juvenile was entered and removed from the missing persons system. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst child protective services referral
On Thursday, Apr. 7 at 10:33 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 50000 Road 427 regarding a CPS referral. Upon investigating this issue it was determined that detectives had already handled this case. Refer report to Sgt. Detective Mollet for information.

Bass Lake theft
On Thursday, Apr. 7 at 1:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a theft that occurred in the 39000 block of Robin. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted. There is no physical evidence in this case. The victim suspects that the tenants are responsible for the theft. Attempts are made to contact the suspect(s), however, they refused to answer the door at the residence. Report to be closed.

Coarsegold report of fraud
On Thursday, Apr. 7 at 12:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Road 416 regarding a possible fraud report. After further investigation the case determined to be unfounded. Case closed.

Coarsegold property found
On Thursday, Apr. 7 at 11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Chukchansi Casino for found property. Report was written case closed.

Oakhurst no-injuries accident
On Sunday, Apr. 10 at 11:09 a.m. a deputy backed into two concrete poles at a business located in the 40000 block of CA-41. The patrol vehicle sustained damage to the rear bumper. This report was taken for documentation only. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst weapons report
On Sunday, Apr. 10 at 8:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Highway 41 for a possible burglary. Upon arrival the subject was gone and no entry had been made. A second dispatch call an hour later revealed a weapon had been brandished to the person reporting the incident. No arrests were made, suspects identity is still unknown. Case to be closed pending identity of suspect.
