Sheriff’s Crime Log Week Of September 28

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally during the week of Monday, Sept. 28 through Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015.

Coarsegold family disturbance
On Monday, Sept. 28 at 2:21 a.m. deputies responded to the 4700 block of Veater Ranch Road for a report of a family disturbance. One of the subjects involved was found to have an outstanding Felony Warrant. He was arrested and booked into DOC.

Oakhurst gasoline theft
On Monday, Sept. 28 at 9:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the reporting party regarding theft of gas from a vehicle parked at in the 50000 block of Road 427. Report taken.
Case to be closed.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Monday, Sept. 28 at 9:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst sub-station regarding a subject turning himself in on a warrant. Subject cited out on the warrant
and given a new court date.
Case to be closed.

Raymond report of inappropriate behavior
On Monday, Sept. 28 at 8:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 600 in regards to an adult male who was said to be acting inappropriately around teenage girls. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. All parties interviewed and case closed due to no actual crime occurring.

Oakhurst credit card fraud
On Monday, Sept. 28 at 11:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located in the 40200 block of Highway 41 regarding some fraud with a bad credit card. Report taken.

Oakhurst missing person
On Monday, Sept. 28 at 12:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Bright Oak Lane regarding a missing person. Check was made of house, area and local hospitals with negative results. Subject later located with a friend at Table Mountain Casino. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold residential burglary
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Badger Circle in Coarsegold for a residential burglary. An investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. Report written and case closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Monday, Sept. 28 at 4:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Royal Oaks Drive regarding a report of a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s office for the filing of related charge.

Oakhurst court order violation
On Monday, Sept. 28 at 5:42 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 48000 block of Royal Oaks Drive in Oakhurst, regarding a report of a court order violation.

Oakhurst school vandalism
On Monday, Sept. 28 at 6:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a report of a vandalism and theft that occurred at Yosemite High School located within the 50000 block of Road 427, in Oakhurst. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 00:21 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 31000 block of Delaware Road for a domestic disturbance. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. Forward to the DA’s office and CPS for review

Oakhurst lost tool
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Madera County Sheriff Department Oakhurst Substation lobby for a report of a lost tool.

Oakhurst graffiti
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9:52 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Goldside Drive and Riverview Drive for a report of graffiti on a driveway and the road.

North Fork theft
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 12:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located in the 33000 block of Road 222 regarding a check passed on a closed account. Report taken. Case to remain open.

North Fork marijuana grow
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 1:49 p.m. a deputy was given information on a possible out door marijuana grow in the area between 30000 and 31000 block of Rd 222. Deputy contacted the owner of the property who agreed to eradicate his plants, which were then taken to be destroyed. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County Code Enforcement Unit for possible fines.

North Fork theft
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 2:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 59000 block of Cascadel Drive regarding a theft of some items. Report taken. Case to be suspended pending any more information and details from the victim.

Oakhurst missing juvenile
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 5:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a call for a report of a runaway male juvenile from a residence located in the 51000 block of Road 426. The incident occurred on Saturday, Sept. 26 at about 10 a.m.

Coarsegold child custody dispute
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 4:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Highway 41 in Coarsegold for a child custody matter. It was determined that one parent violated the child custody order. Report written and charges requested.

Coarsegold theft
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 4:39 p.m. a deputy responded to the 47000 block of Veater Ranch Road for a report of a theft of some Fed Ex deliveries. Upon arrival, deputy conducted an investigation. No suspect or evidence were found. A report was taken and forwarded to the Detective Unit for review.

North Fork missing juvenile
On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 Block of Maranatha Drive regarding a run away juvenile. Investigation concluded the juvenile possibly ran away with her boyfriend, but has not returned home at this time. Juvenile has been in contact with the mother since running away.

Coarsegold Coroner’s case
On Wednesday, Sept. 30 a delayed Coroner’s case was reported with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst gasoline theft
On Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 11:29 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 49000 Road 426 regarding theft of gasoline from two county vehicles. The suspect syphoned gasoline and fled the scene. The scene was processed for latent prints and photographs were taken. Refer report closed until a suspect can be identified.

Ahwahnee domestic violence
On Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Loenard Lane regarding a violation of a Domestic Violence Restraining Order. The victim claimed her husband, whom she has a restraining order on, went to her place of employment. The suspect advised that he is in Salt Lake City and headed to Oaklahoma. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold threats, weapons, arson
On Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 4:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Apache Rd regarding a female victim receiving threatening phone calls from her ex-husband. The suspect was also investigated for several arsons. The suspect was located and arrested for the threats, weapons charges and several counts of arson. CDF filed the report regarding the arson charges. Forward report to the District Attorney for filing charges.

North Fork identity theft
On Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 4:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation regarding a subject who wanted to turn in an identity theft packet. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

North Fork vandalism
On Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 9:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 221 and Road 226 regarding subjects shooting from a moving vehicle in North Fork. During the investigation of the area the deputy discovered that the road sign which states “Bandit Town” had been shot with a shotgun. Report written, no arrests made, evidence obtained, and case closed.

Raymond person in distress
On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 2:08 a.m. deputies responded to the 38000 blk. of Road 600 for a report of a subject overdosing on unknown medications. Deputies arrived on scene and a 72-hour mental health hold was placed. Subject was transported for further treatment and a case was generated. Case closed.

North Fork vandalism
On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 5:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 33000 Road 222 regarding a vandalism to the business. An unknown person broke a window outside the business. A report was taken for documentation.

Coarsegold felon apprehended
On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 6:45 a.m. members of the Madera County Sheriff’s Department Detective Division served a search warrant at a residence on Trabuco Road for a wanted felon. The suspect was located at the residence and taken into custody without incident. The suspect was later booked at the Madera County Jail and the case is to be closed.

Coarsegold assault
On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 8:33 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 36000 Wells Road regarding an assault. Per the victim he claimed he was assaulted by his roommate, who fled the scene. The victim requested charges filed.

North Fork burglary
On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 11:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 35000 Shriners Lane regarding a burglary. The suspect(s) stole several items including TVs and left the scene. No evidence located at the residence and the suspect(s) are outstanding. Request report be suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst juvenile with marijuana
On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 12:06 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Yosemite High School regarding a juvenile who brought marijuana to school grounds. The juvenile was cited.

Ahwahnee firearm discharched
On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 11:05 a.m. a firearm was discharged during a search warrant on the 44000 block of Highway 49. Report for documentation only.

North Fork burglary
On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 1:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 58000 Road 225 regarding a burglary to the business. The business does not have locking doors and is a meditation center. The suspect(s) stole several items and fled the scene on foot. Requesting this report be suspended until further leads develop.

North Fork marijuana possession
On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 2:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 58000 Road 225 regarding a possible burglary. Two subjects were possibly seen jumping over a fence. One subject fled on foot and the other subject was detained. He was later cited and released for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. Refer to the D.A’s office for charges filed.

Bass Lake vandalism
On Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 3:06 p.m. a deputy responded to a cabin located on 5S40Y in the Sierra National Forest regarding vandalism to a cabin. Report taken for documentation.

Coarsegold residential burglary
On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 4:08 p.m. a deputy responded to a residence in the 30000 block of Titan Drive regarding a burglary to a residence. The scene was processed. Several fingerprints were located and lifted to be analyzed. Case to be forwarded to detectives for followup pending the processing of the fingerprints.

North Fork burglary
On Friday, Oct. 2 at 5:29 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 33000 Road 222 regarding a burglary to the business. The suspect broke a window and crawled inside. The suspect stole cigarettes from behind the counter and fled the scene out the window. The suspect was wearing a hoodie and a black mask over her face. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Friday, Oct. 2 at 8:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Lauri Lane and CA-49 regarding a suspicious vehicle at the end of the cul de sac. The passenger was cited on a warrant and advised he lives down the street. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst report of shooting
On Friday, Oct. 2 at 11:55 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst area regarding the reporting party. No specific location was given regarding a possible shooting that took place. Report written for documentation and I am requesting this report be forwarded to detectives for follow up.

Coarsegold threats
On Friday, Oct. 2 at 12:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Lilly Mountain Dr. regarding a report of a subject who was allegedly threatened by a neighbor. This case is pending further investigation.

North Fork child custody dispute
On Friday, Oct. 2 at 6:39p.m. a deputy contacted a female who lives in the 33000 block of Willow Creek Drive regarding child custody orders. General Incident report generated. Case to be closed.

North Fork domestic violence
On Saturday, Oct. 3 at 11:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 222 regarding violation of a domestic violence restraining order. Upon arrival the restrained party had left the location. A report was written and charges requested.

Oakhurst illegal trash dump
On Saturday, Oct. 3 at 11:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Highway 41 for a report of trash illegally dumped on a vacant property.

Oakhurst threat in parking lot
On Saturday, Oct. 3 at 4:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 41000 block of CA-49, regarding a report of a threat that occurred at the parking lot of the Starbucks Cafe earlier in the day. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.

Oakhurst DUI arrest
On Saturday, Oct. 3 at 3:52 p.m. a deputy responded to a fire in the 39000 block of Road 600. Upon conducing a road closure on Road 400 for fire crew, the deputy observed a male attempting to drive his vehicle into the road where the fire was occurring. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and observed the male to display the objective signs of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. An arrest was made, report written, and charges requested.

Ahwahnee report of attempted rape
On Saturday, Oct. 3 at 11:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 Block of CA-41 regarding a possible attempted rape that occurred in the 40000 Block of Goldside Drive. Investigation concluded the victim had not been raped and charges will be filed with the Madera County District Attorney’s Office.

North Fork assault
On Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9:03 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 55000 block of Road 200 for a report of an aggravated assault.

Oakhurst burglary
On Sunday, Oct. 4 at 11:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 44000 block of Road 619 regarding a report of a burglary. This case has been suspended pending investigative leads.

North Fork theft
On Sunday, Oct. 4 at 1:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 52000 block of Meadow Ranch Road for a report of residential burglary.

Oakhurst man in distress
On Sunday, Oct. 4 at 5:04 p.m. a deputy responded to the 37000 block of Wortham Road in Oakhurst for a medical aid call. Upon further investigation it was determined the male was attempting suicide with an overdose of prescription medication. Male was transported to MCH by EMS for a mental health hold and evaluation. Report forwarded to mental health.

Coarsegold burglary
On Sunday, Oct. 4 at 6:32 p.m. a deputy responded to the 42000 block of Deep Forest Dr. for a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, deputy conducted an investigation. No suspect or physical evidence were found. A report was taken and forwarded to the Detective Unit for review.

Coarsegold vehicle vandalized
On Sunday, Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call in the 37000 block of Romero Lane regarding vandalism to a vehicle. An investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. Report written and case closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst report of shooting
On Sunday, Oct. 4 at 1:18 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 Block of Shady Lane regarding an adult male who had been shot. Investigation concluded no one had been shot. Subjects involved were intoxicated. Plants from a possible outdoor marijuana grow had been taken from a neighbor and returned to the neighbor the same day. Forward case to Detective Dorr.
