Sheriff’s Crime Log Week Of October 19

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally during the week of Monday, Oct. 19 through Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015.

Coarsegold residential burglary
On Monday, Oct. 19 at 8:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a phone call for a report of a residential burglary that occurred in the 46000 block of Oonay Nation Road. No arrest were made. The suspect is unknown. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Oakhurst mail boxes vandalized
On Monday, Oct. 19 at 9:11 a.m. a deputy responded to Road 426 and Highview Drive for theft of mail from a vandalized mail box cluster. An investigation was conducted and report written. Case closed due to lack of physical evidence and investigative leads.

Oakhurst businesses vandalized
On Monday, Oct. 19 at 9:23 a.m. a deputy responded to the 49000 block of Road 426 for vandalism in the form of graffiti that occurred to several commercial businesses along Road 426. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. Case was closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst animal cruelty
On Monday, Oct. 19 at 9:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to an apartment complex located in the 48000 block of Victoria Lane for a report of a puppy locked in a vehicle all weekend without food or water. The puppy was transported to the Bass Lake Animal Control Facility. Case forward to Madera County Animal Control for further investigation.

Coarsegold burglary reported
On Monday, Oct. 19 at 10:29 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a storage building located in the 27000 block of Road 400 for a report of a burglary. No arrests were made. The suspect is unknown. There were no suspect shoe track or tire tracks near the building. Case closed due to insufficient leads. The reporting party requested no further action.

Ahwahnee court order violation
On Monday, Oct. 19 at 11:10 a.m. a deputy responded to the 43000 block of Leach Lane for a violation of a court order. An investigation was conducted and a report written. No charges filed.

Oakhurst burglary reported
On Monday, Oct. 19 at  4:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 46700 block of Eastwood Drive North regarding a report of a burglary. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Out-of-area check forgery
On Monday, Oct. 19 at 6:25 p.m. a deputy received a transfer telephone call from the Sheriff’s Office dispatch center regarding information related to the Grocery Outlet commercial burglary. Upon speaking with the reporting party the deputy determined the call was unrelated to the commercial burglary and was a check forgery. The deputy elected to handle the call for service, reporting that the incident was a check forgery that will have occurred in the jurisdiction of North Charleston, with a report to be forwarded to that department.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 11:46 a.m. a man reported theft of flowers and flower pot from 39000 block of Brandywine Lane. No evidence or leads, close case.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 11:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Oakhurst Substation regarding a report of a theft that occurred in the parking lot of the Yosemite Gateway Inn/Best Western, located within the 40500 block of CA-49, in Oakhurst. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold forgery and fraud
On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 1:56 p.m. a probation search was conducted at a residence located on the 36000 block of Wells Road, resulting in the discovery of evidence of forgery and fraud. Multiple fraud-related and drug-related charges requested against Coarsegold resident.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at  3:17 p.m. a hospitalized man reported that he believes his mail was taken from mailbox cluster on Cedar Springs Road by his brother. Forward to detectives to follow up after Oct. 24, when the man returns home from hospital.

Oakhurst burglary and vandalism
On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 5:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 39900 block of Road 425B regarding a report of a burglary, theft and vandalism. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Oakhurst arrest on warrant
On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7:36 p.m. a deputy conducted a subject check in the 40000 Black of CA-41. Male subject that was contacted had a felony warrant for his arrest and was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections.

North Fork arrest
On Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 9:19 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 52000 block of Road 225 for a report of a restraining order violation. Upon arrival, both parties were contacted and and investigation was started. Through the investigation it was found a violation of a separate crime had occurred and an arrest was made. Forward a copy of this report to the DA for prosecution

Oakhurst mail theft
On Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 8:52 a.m. a deputy responded to the area of Harmony Lane and Eastwood Drive for mail theft. An investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. Report written and case closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 11:09 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Wood Leaf Lane for possible mail theft. In an investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. Report written for documentation purposes and case closed

Oakhurst check fraud
On Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 2:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst sub station for lobby traffic of check fraud. An investigation was conducted, report written and case closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst arrest
On Wednesday, Oct. 21 2:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated female causing a disturbance outside the residence. The residence was located within the 49000 block of Coller Holler Lane. During the investigation a female was taken into custody and transported to the Madera County Jail. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office of the filing of related charge.

Coarsegold family disturbance
On Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 10:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 Block of Apache Road regarding a possible family disturbance. Investigation concluded the son of the reporting party had stolen some prescription medication earlier in the day.

Oakhurst lost property report
On Wednesday, Oct. 21 10:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 Block of CA-41 regarding lost property. Investigation concluded a passport had been lost at an unknown location and an unknown time by a visitor from another country.

North Fork disturbance
On Thursday, Oct. 22 at 00:24 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 33000 block of Church Street. Upon arrival, the causing parties had left the scene, and two children, ages 12 and 14 were contacted and statements obtained. A Case report was opened and report written. Attempts to locate the causing parties were initially unsuccessful. The suspect was later contacted by Deputy Logoluso. See his supplemental report for further information.

Oakhurst commercial burglary
On Thursday, Oct. 22 at 5:23 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a possible in progress commercial burglary. Evidence was obtained at the crime scene. Forward report to detectives for information purposes. Close case.

Oakhurst Coroner’s case
On Thursday, Oct. 22 at 5:57 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a Coroner’s case. Death appears to be from natural causes. Removal was done by Sierra Chapel. Refer report to Chief Coroner for review.

Bass Lake boat barn burglary
On Thursday, Oct. 22 at 9:31 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of Road 222 regarding a burglary to a boat barn. The reporting party advised that several items, including wake boards and keys to several boats were stolen. She requested a report for documentation. Refer report to detectives for follow up. A possible suspect was arrested on unrelated charges by Deputy Williams. See Madera County Sheriff’s Office report #15-4161 for further information on that arrest.

Ahwahnee family disturbance
On Friday, Oct. 23 at 11:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 43000 block of Leach Road regarding a family civil dispute. After settling the dispute, the deputies left but were called back a short time later due to a female assaulting a victim. The victim placed the female under citizens arrest and she was transported and booked into Madera Department of Corrections. Report to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney.

North Fork domestic violence
On Friday, Oct. 23 at 12:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a confidential location regarding a domestic incident. The victim advised that her boyfriend threatened to leave her in the trailer and burn the place down. He also shot her in the chest with a BB gun. The victim requested no criminal charges. The deputy requested that the report be forward to the D.A’s office for charges to be filed against the suspect.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Friday, Oct. 23 at 2:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a confidential location in Oakhurst regarding a domestic incident. The victim said that she looked on Facebook and believed her boyfriend was cheating on her. She said that they were in an argument and her boyfriend had slapped her in the face. She requested no charges at this time. Refer to D.A’s office for charges filed.

Oakhurst civil dispute
On Friday, Oct. 23 at 2:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to residence in the 49000 block of River Falls Road regarding a female possibly breaking into a residence. The female was not breaking in but has a civil dispute with the residents. The deputy was asked while on the premises to make a general incident report about a separate incident.

Wallet found in Oakhurst
On Friday, Oct. 23 at 4:54 p.m. a citizen responded to the Oakhurst sub station in order to turn in a found wallet. The owner is later contacted by telephone and requests that the wallet be mailed to his address in San Francisco.

Oakhurst misdemeanor citation
On Saturday, Oct. 24 at 11:19 a.m. a deputy contacted a subject behind Crab Cakes Restaurant located at 49271 Golden Oak Loop. The subject had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. He was cited and released. Refer report closed due.

Oakhurst commercial theft
On Saturday, Oct. 24 at 11:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Highway 41 regarding theft from a store. The suspect was located and arrested for outstanding warrants and booked in the Madera County Jail with charges to be filed with the District Attorneys Office. Case to go to District Attorney’s Office for charges.

Oakhurst theft
On Sunday, Oct. 25 at 5:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 426 in regards to a theft report. There are no witnesses or suspect(s) in this case. No physical evidence was located on scene. Request report be closed pending a lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold report of gunfire
On Sunday, Oct. 25 at 5:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 31900 block of Shah Court regarding a report of a shooting at an unoccupied vehicle. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.
