Sheriff’s Crime Log Week of August 24

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally during the week of Monday, Aug. 24 through Sunday, Aug 30, 2015.

Oakhurst burglary
On Monday, Aug. 24 at 8:59 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Greenwood Way in regards to a burglary to a storage shed. A criminal investigation was denied and a report requested for insurance purposes only; close case.

Oakhurst arrest for warrant
On Monday, Aug. 24 at 10:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Goldside Drive for reports of a physical fight. Upon arrival, a subject involved was found to have a warrant. Fight was unfounded. Subject was issued a citation; close case.

Oakhurst protective order violation
On Monday, Aug. 24 at noon, deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 41400 block of CA-49 regarding a report of a Domestic Violence Criminal Protective Order violation and an assault by means of pepper or bear repellent spray. This case has been forwarded to the DA’s Office for the filing of related charges.

North Fork aggravated assault
A deputy was dispatched on Monday, Aug. 24 at 11:23 a.m. to Road 200 and Road 221 for a reported assault with a vehicle. An investigation was conducted and no
arrests were made. Report written and charges requested for the DA’s office.

Oakhurst student with pocket knife
A deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of School Road on Monday, Aug. 24, at 1:33 p.m., in regards to a student with a pocket knife and prescription
medication. Report taken for documentation; close case.

Oakhurst man in distress
On Monday, Aug. 24 at 3:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to an apartment complex located within the 49000 block of River Falls Lane, regarding a report of a possibly suicidal male. During the investigation the male was found to be a danger to himself and was placed on a mental health hold. The male was transported via ambulance to a hospital for treatment and/or evaluation. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold wallet found
On Monday, Aug. 24 at 6:52 p.m., a deputy on a patrol check in the area of Aspen Court off of Road 416 located a wallet in the area and booked wallet into evidence at the Oakhurst Substation as found property.

Oakhurst burglary
A deputy was dispatched on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 9:39 a.m. to the 40000 block of Greenwood Way in regards to a burglary report. Evidence located and submitted at the Oakhurst Substation.

Bass Lake report of burglary
A deputy was dispatched on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 12:15 p.m. to the 54000 block of Road 432 in regards to two vehicle burglaries. No evidence located. Close case.

Oakhurst arrest for warrants
On Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 1:54 p.m. a deputy conducted a self-initiated patrol check in the Oakhurst Library and contacted a subject from prior contacts known to have several outstanding Madera County warrants. Subject was cited and released on misdemeanor warrants. Case closed due to arrest.

Oakhurst dog bite
On Wednesday, Aug. 26 a deputy was dispatched to contact a subject that was bitten by a dog. The location of occurrence was the 40000 block of CA-49. Forward report to Animal Control.

O’Neals suspicious incident at school
A deputy was dispatched on Wednesday, Aug. 26 to an elementary school located within the 46600 block of Road 200 regarding a report of a suspicious incident. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.

Oakhurst teen in distress
On Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 40400 block of Indian Springs Road regarding a report of a possibly suicidal teenage female. The female was found to be a danger to herself and placed on a mental health hold. She was transported to a hospital for treatment and evaluation. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold man reported missing
On Thursday, Aug. 27 at 10:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact an adult female by telephone who requested to report her adult son as missing. The missing person was also reported to be a homeless subject and was last seen in the area of Serpa Canyon. There are no actual addresses or specific locations where the subject may be. The subject was entered into the system and a report was completed. Case to be forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold attempted burglary
On Thursday, Aug. 27 at 1:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Ranger Circle Dr in Coarsegold regarding an attempted vehicle burglary. A report was completed on the matter. At this time there are no evidentiary leads. Case to be closed.

O’Neals student in possession of marijuana
On Thursday, Aug. 28 at 9:47 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 45000 on Road 200 regarding a student who was in possession of marijuana. Refer to the D.A’s office for charges.

Oakhurst theft
A deputy was dispatched on Friday, Aug. 28 at 10:28 a.m. to a business at the 39000 block of CA-41 regarding a report of a theft and vandalism. A report was completed. There are no leads at this time.

North Fork disturbance
On Friday, Aug. 28 at 12:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a verbal disturbance in the 33000 block of Church Street. Upon arrival the parties were separated and statements obtained. It was discovered that the male subject had an active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest out of Madera County. The male was cited and released without incident.

Oakhurst burglary
On Friday, Aug. 28 at 12:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located in the 39000 block of Road 425B in Oakhurst regarding a vehicle burglary. There was no evidence or leads. A report was written.

Wishon vandalism
On Friday, Aug. 28 at 1:21 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 34000 block of Sunridge Dr. for a vandalism report. A report was taken and victim statements are still being obtained.

Coarsegold threats made
On Friday, Aug. 28 at 12:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the lobby of the Sheriff’s Department in regards to alleged threats made by a co-worker. Report was written as requested by the reporting party for documentation purposes. The case was then closed.

Coarsegold child welfare check
On Friday, Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 29000 Stetson Drive in Coarsegold regarding to check the welfare of a 3-year-old child that is Autistic. Refer report to Madera County Child Services for follow up.

Coarsegold firearm lost
A deputy was dispatched on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 9:31 a.m. to the 42000 block of Starlight Dr. regarding a report of a lost firearm. A search for the firearm was conducted with no results. The firearm was entered into system as lost.

Coarsegold child abuse
A deputy was dispatched on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 11:08 a.m. to the 44000 block of Lookout Court in Coarsegold regarding a report of an ongoing child abuse situation. An investigation was conducted and a report written. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for a review of filing charges.

Oakhurst report of sexual assault
On Saturday, Aug. 29 at 10 p.m. deputies responded to the 50000 block of Cedar Valley Dr. for a report of a sexual assault. A report was generated but due to the lack of cooperation from the victim no arrests were made. Case forwarded to Detectives unit.

Coarsegold burglary
On Sunday, Aug. 30 at 7:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Highway 41 for a commercial burglary. An investigation was conducted and evidence collected. No arrests were made. Report written and forwarded to detectives.

Oakhurst domestic violence order violation
On Sunday, Aug. 30 at 9:56 a.m. a deputy dispatched to a residence in the 48000 block of Royal Oaks Drive for a report of a Domestic Violence Court Order violation. The female suspect was arrested, transported, and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections. The male was arrested, cited and released for charges on a misdemeanor bench warrant out of Madera County.

Bass Lake report of fraud
On Sunday, Aug. 30 at 7:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 54000 block of Road 432 regarding possible fraud. Investigation concluded a couple on vacation from the United Kingdom had a large sum of money taken from them through a bank transaction prior to coming to the United States.

Oakhurst drug paraphernalia found
A deputy responded on Sunday, Aug. 30 to the 41000 block of Sunny Oaks Ranch Rd. for found drug paraphernalia. The deputy collected the items and, after an investigation, no owner could be identified. Items were booked into the property room for destruction
