Sheriff’s Crime Log Week of August 10

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally during the week of Monday, Aug. 10 through Sunday, Aug 16, 2015.

Oakhurst Arrest
A deputy was on patrol in the Oakhurst area on Monday, Aug. 10 at 8:16 a.m. when he spotted a subject who was wanted by probation. The deputy arrested the
subject and transported him to the Madera County Jail.

Oakhurst Violation
On Monday, Aug. 10 at 10:56 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Royal Oaks Drive in Oakhurst in regards to a violation of a DVRO. Suspect contacted via telephone. Forward for prosecution.

Oakhurst Burglary
A deputy was dispatched on Monday, Aug. 10 at 4:53 p.m. to the 40000 Block of Elliott Drive regarding a residential burglary. Investigation concluded no physical evidence at the scene and only one item stolen from the residence. Forward to Madera County Sheriff’s Department Detective Unit for follow up.

Oakhurst Arrest
A deputy was dispatched on Monday, Aug.10 at 11:34 p.m. to the 41000 Block of CA-49 regarding a possible domestic dispute between a male and female. Investigation concluded the male subject was in violation of a court ordered criminal protective order, was arrested, and transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections. Charges filed with the Madera County District Attorney’s Office.

Oakhurst Elementary Vandalism
A deputy was dispatched on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 1:27 a.m. to Oakhurst Elementary School located within the 49400 block of Road 427 regarding a report of a vandalism. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Raymond Burglary
A deputy dispatched on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 1:30 a.m. to the 42000 Block of Road 800 regarding a residential burglary. Investigation concluded several items were
taken, but no physical evidence observed on scene. Case forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Department Detective Unit for continued investigation.

Oakhurst Coroner
On Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 8:57 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 43000 block of Highway 41 to a residence within a senior mobile home park regarding an elderly female who passed away of natural causes. Next of kin was notified. Report to be forwarded to the Deputy chief coroner.

Oakhurst Theft
A deputy was dispatched on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 8:29 a.m. to the a residence in the 49000 block of Gamegan Way in regards to a theft of a parcel from a mailbox. An
investigation was conducted and there was no evidence or witnesses. There were no arrests made, case report was written. Close case.

Coarsegold Breach of Contract
A deputy was contacted in the Oakhurst lobby on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 11: 23 a.m. regarding suspected embezzlement. This appears to be a civil breach of contract issue and the reporting party was advised to seek legal counsel but requested a report. Report to be forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold Assault
A deputy was dispatched on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 12:28 p.m. to the 36000 block of CA-41 in regards to a civil dispute. An assault was alleged during incident and a
report was requested. An investigation was conducted, report was written to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst Woman in Distress
A deputy was dispatched on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 2:52 p.m. to a local medical facility in regards to an adult female that was having suicidal thoughts. Upon arrival the patient was contacted and a statement obtained. The female was subsequently transported to a local hosptial for a mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst Runaway Juvenile
On Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 6:06 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 49400 block of Pierce Dr. for a runaway juvenile report. A report was generated and forward to detectives for follow up.

Wishon Sex Crime Report
A deputy dispatched on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 6:18 p.m. to the 35000 block of Shriners to contact the reporting party by telephone. No arrest were made and a case report was written.

Coarsegold Assault
A deputy was dispatched on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 9:05 a.m. to a residence in the 43000 block of Bear Paw Court regarding domestic assault. Both parties were found to have been equally involved in misdemeanor assault and were arrested. Case to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing of charges.

North Fork Domestic Violence
A deputy was dispatched on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 11:51 a.m. to the 31000 block of Wyle Ranch Rd. regarding a domestic violence incident. Both involved subjects advised they had a verbal argument only. Per the investigation conducted at the scene, two children were placed in protective custody and turned over to Child Protective Custody. A report was written to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Wishon Assault
Deputies were dispatched on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 6:51 p.m. to the 37000 block of Road 222 regarding an assault. Report written and case closed pending follow up with the business where the assault possibly occurred.

Oakhurst Narcotics
A deputy was assigned to assist MADNET on the investigation of a possible illegal marijuana grow between the 48000 and 48200 block of Rd 620. On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7:58 a.m. a search warrant was served and marijuana plants were located, along with a one subject carrying a loaded firearm in possession of Meth. A second person was contacted and was found in possession of meth as well. The marijuana was eradicated and disposed of. Charges are going to be filed on both subjects.

Delayed Coroner’s Case
Thursday Aug. 13, 8:49 a.m.: this is a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death
case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold Vandalism
A deputy was dispatched on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7: 52 a.m. to the 42000 block of Deep Forest Drive regarding vandalism to several yard lights. Report taken for documentation. Refer to report closed.

Oakhurst Man in Distress
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 10:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 632 and Country Club Dr regarding a male across the street from a home yelling &
cursing. The male was contacted and placed on a W&I 5150 mental health hold. The male was transported by EMS to a local
hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst Narcotics
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 11:09 a.m. a search warrant was served in the 41000 block of Pamela Pl, Oakhurst Ca. During this search, 104 marijuana plants were
eradicated.

North Fork Burglary
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a report that a subject stole a beer from the market. The owner requested charges and advised that she knew the subject who stole the beer. The  subject later admitted to stealing the beer. The property was returned to the store. Refer to the D.A’s office for charges filed.

Coarsegold Narcotics
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 11:55 a.m. a search warrant was served at a location in the 35000 block of Douglas Rd south. Marijuana plants were eradicated. Case
to be sent to MADNET

Oakhurst Theft
A deputy was dispatched on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 11:23 p.m. to the 38000 block of John West Rd. in Oakhurst regarding a theft of prescription medications. The victim requested a report only and didn’t want the possible suspect contacted at this time.

Coarsegold Narcotics
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 3:11 p.m. a search warrant served in the 46000 block of Skyline Ridge Rd. Marijuana plants were eradicated.

North Fork Warrant
A deputy contacted a subject on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 3:31 p.m. at his residence located at 58000 Road 225. He had a misdemeanor warrant and was cited and released. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst Dog Bite
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 4 p.m. Madera County Animal Services requests assistance with a dog bite investigation in the 42000 block of Buckeye Road. The victim is contacted and a statement is obtained. Two dogs are subsequently removed from the owners residence and placed in quarantine. Report to be forwarded to Madera County Animal Services.

Oakhurst Patrol Car Damage
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. a deputy notices damage to his patrol unit that was not present prior to the Willow Fire which began on July 25. Deputy reports this
damage to his Sergeant. A report is generated for documentation. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst Runaway Juvenile
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 5:44 p.m. a deputy dispatched to the 49000 block of Daisy Lane regarding a runaway juvenile. Juvenile entered into MUPS and a case report was written. Forward the report to the detective division and juvenile probation.

Coarsegold Vandalism
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 blk. of Winchester Way for a report of a vandalism. A boat was found damaged
and a report was generated. No suspects were identified and case was closed.

Raymond Assault
On Thursday, Aug. 14 at 6:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 blk. of East St. for a report of an assault. During investigation a female was found to have been assaulted and a report was generated. Case was forwarded to the District Attorneys Office for review per the request of the victim.

Raymond Runaway Juvenile
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 6:39 p.m. deputies responded to the 31000 blk. of East St. for a report of a runaway juvenile. A report was generated and the
juvenile was entered and later removed from the MUPS system. Case closed.

Oakhurst Felony Warrant
On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 11:33 p.m. deputies placed a subject under arrest for having a Fresno County Felony warrant, in the area of the 40500 block of
Westlake Dr. The subject was later turned over to Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

Bass Lake Runaway Juvenile
Deputies on Friday, Aug. 14 at 6:39 a.m. were dispatched to a residence near the 39000 block of Brier Place regarding a run away juvenile. Report taken and forward to detectives for follow up.

North Fork Burglary
On Friday, Aug. 14 at 8:02 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the block of 56000 Road 200 regarding an attempted break into a church. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold Property Found
A local citizen found a car stereo inside his vehicle and brought it on Friday, Aug. 14 at 9 a.m. to the Oakhurst Substation. The stereo was booked into property for safe keeping. Case can be closed.

Coarsegold Theft
Aeputy was dispatched on Friday, Aug. 14 at 11:26 a.m. to contact a victim by phone regarding a possible theft of a handgun in the 45000 block of Strawberry Rd. Per the victim, the weapon may have been stolen from his vehicle, unknown when. The weapon was entered into NCIC as stolen. There were no leads.

Oakhurst Warrant
A deputy was dispatched on Friday, Aug. 14 at 2:38 p.m. to an address in the 40000 block of Ely Way regarding a burglary. It was determined the reporting party had a warrant out of Fresno County. Subject was cited to appear and released. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst Burglary
On Friday, Aug. 14 at 2:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to an address in the 40000 block of Ely Way in Oakhurst regarding burglary of tools from a residential
garage. The burglary took place 3 weeks ago and there are no investigative leads at this time. Report to be forwarded to detectives.

North Fork Fraud
A deputy was dispatched on Friday, Aug. 14 at 5:25 p.m. to the 54000 block on Road 200 regarding a faurd case. Report written, evidence pending retrieval from victim, no arrest made, and case forwarded to Madera County Detectives unit for follow-up. Case pending due to further information
needed.

Oakhurst Theft
On Saturday, Aug. 15 at 8 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 in Oakhurst for a stolen bicycle. An investigation was done and no
arrests were made. Case open pending further investigation.

Coarsegold Burglary
A deputy was dispatched on Saturday, Aug. 15 at 2:36 p.m. to a residence within the 29300 block of CA-41, in Coarsegold, regarding a report of a burglary. This case
has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Oakhurst Missing Person
On Saturday, Aug. 15 at 5:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact a person who wanted to report her ex-husband as being missing after no contact for two and a half months. Missing person may be homeless locally and has a prior drug history. Reporting person calling from Arkansas. Report taken and forwarded to Detectives unit for follow up.

Coarsegold Assault
On Sunday, Aug. 15 at 8:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Coarsegold for male suffering from an unknown chemical burn to his face and body,
EMS was on scene. An investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. The man refused to be transported to the hospital. Report was written and case closed due to lack on investigative leads.

Oakhurst Weapons Arrest
On Sunday, Aug. 16 at 12:30 p.m. a deputy responded to a radio call in the 49000 hundred block of Pierce Drive in Oakhurst for a man seen running around the neighborhood with a rifle. An investigation was conducted and the suspect was located and arrested. The rifle in question was located at a nearby location. Case closed due to arrest.

Oakhurst Violation
On Sunday, Aug. 16 at 5:09 p.m. a deputy responded to a report of a domestic violence restraining order violation on the 48000 block of Royal Oaks Drive. Charges requested against Oakhurst resident.

Coarsegold Female in Distress
On Sunday, Aug. 16 at 6:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 Block of Road 415 regarding a possible suicidal subject. Investigation concluded a female subject deciding to go to the hospital for an evaluation of medication usage.
