Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Sunday, May 8

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, May 1 through Sunday, May 8.

Coarsegold report of bullying
On Sunday, May 1, a School Resource Deputy was informed by parent of an ongoing problem with bullying on campus and the bus. The campus is located at the 45000 block of Road 415 in Coarsegold. This incident was handled at the school level and the case will be closed.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Sunday, May 1 at 6:52 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation in the area of CA-41 and Road 425B. The driver of the vehicle was subsequently issued a citation for vehicle code violations and an active arrest warrant issued out of Mariposa County. The vehicle was impounded. Report to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed against the driver.

Coarsegold suspicious vehicle
On Sunday, May 1 at 6:52 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 36000 block of Wells Road in regards to a suspicious vehicle on private property. Upon arrival, the vehicle and occupant were contacted. A report was taken for documentation and is to be closed due to insufficient evidence to support an arrest.

Coarsegold citation
On Sunday, May 1 at 8:19 a.m. a deputy was on a call for service at the casino. The deputy encountered a female subject who had a Felony and Misdemeanor warrant out of Fresno. The female subject was issued a citation with a court date and time to appear in a Fresno County Court. Recommend this report be sent to the Fresno County District Attorney office and Fresno Child Protective Services.

Oakhurst vehicle burglary
On Sunday, May 1 at 11:43 a.m. a deputy responded to the 800 block of E. Yosemite Ave in Madera regarding a vehicle burglary report which took placed on 04/30/16 in Oakhurst on Hwy 41 and Road 630. A subject was found in possession of one of the stolen items. Charges filed with the District Attorney’s Office. Case pending further leads.

North Fork Child Protective Services
On Sunday, May 1 at 8:56 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 32000 block of Road 222 for possible juvenile issues. A report was written and forwarded to Child Protective Services for review.

Coarsegold aggravated vehicular assault
On Sunday, May 1 at 10:07 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 43000 block of Road 415 for an aggrevated assault involving a vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and were unable to locate anyone involved in the incident. A report was written to document the incident. Documentation only.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Sunday, May 1 at 11:53 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle check on a white Ford F-150 truck for expired registration and unsafe load on the 49000 block of Road 427. During the investigation, narcotics were found and the driver was arrested. A case report was written. Forward to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Coarsegold outdoor marijuana grow
On Monday, May 2 at 11:55 a.m. a deputy was contacted by a concerned citizen regarding an outdoor marijuana grow in the Coarsegold area. The citizen wished to remain anonymous. This report will be forwarded to Detectives and the Problem Oriented Policing Sergeants for follow up.

Oakhurst juvenile inappropriate touching
On Monday, May 2 at 12:01 p.m. the School Resource Deputy was informed by a student that inappropriate touching occurred by another student several months ago on campus. The campus is located at the 50000 block of Road 427 in Oakhurst. Investigation closed per the request of victim and parent.

Raymond domestic violence order violation
On Monday, May 2 at 1:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a violation of a domestic violence court order that occurred in the 35000 block of Berenda Street. The suspect was contacted via telephone and a statement was obtained. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed.

Coarsegold vehicle vandalism
On Monday, May 2 at 2:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a vandalism to a vehicle that occurred in the 35000 block of CA-41. The victim was contacted at his residence and a report was taken. This report is to be closed, due to a lack of investigative leads/ evidence.

Coarsegold burglary
On Monday, May 2 at 6:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 50300 block of Barcus Circle regarding a report of a burglary. During the investigation the victim described some of the property taken from his residence and believed his ex-wife was the person who committed the burglary. Some of the stolen property was found at the ex-wife’s residence and recovered. The ex-wife was placed into custody, but victim decided he did not wish to seek prosecution. The recovered property was released to the victim and the ex-wife was released under the authority of 849(B) PC. This case has been closed.

North Fork warrant citation
On Tuesday, May 3 at 12:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the La Cabana Restaurant parking lot located within the 32700 block of Road 222 in regard a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot. During the investigation the deputy contacted a male adult in the vehicle. A record check revealed the male had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, issued from the Fresno County Superior Court, for his arrest. The male was placed into custody, issued a citation, Citation number 50858, and released from custody. This case has been closed.

North Fork vandalism
On Tuesday, May 3 at 8:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Weatherly Lane in regards to a vandalism report. Both involved subjects were contacted and report was taken. At the request of the victim, this case is to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.

Coarsegold burglary
On Tuesday, May 3 at 9:55 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a burglary to a trailer that occurred in the 46000 block of Konklin Road. Upon arrival, several items are recovered that were stolen from the trailer and left on the property by the suspect(s). An evidence technician was requested to process the trailer and items. Case to remain open, pending results of evidence analyzation.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Tuesday, May 3 at 2:09 p.m. a School Resource Deputy was called by a teacher regarding a student who ran from the classroom. The school is located at the 45000 block of Road 415 in Coarsegold. Deputy responded to the area and after about an hour located the runaway student at a friend’s house nearby.

Coarsegold theft
On Wednesday, May 4 at 8:12 a.m. a citizen contacted the sheriff’s office to file a theft report that occurred in the 50000 block of Rawhide Lane. The victim was contacted by telephone and a statement is obtained. Report to be closed, due to a lack of investigative leads/ evidence.

Oakhurst missing person
On Wednesday, May 4 at 10:59 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 52000 block of Road 423 regarding a missing female adult. Report taken, missing adult entered into MUPS, BOL given to CHP, and case closed. Subject was later located by Deputy G. Marin.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Wednesday, May 4 at 7:10 a.m. deputies served a search warrant in the 37000 block of Highway 41 in regards to an outdoor marijuana cultivation site. One suspect was arrested and booked at MDOC. Read the story: Raid in Coarsegold Yields Marijuana and Hashish.

Oakhurst runaway juvenile
On Wednesday, May 4 at 8 a.m. an attendance worker at the high school advised the School Resource Deputy that, according to a parent’s conversation with her, his daughter was a runaway. Deputy was unable to reach father by cell phone and there is not a good address for the family. The deputy later was able to contact the father and get enough information to complete a runaway juvenile report. The school is located at the 50000 block of Road 427 in Oakhurst.

Ahwahnee sexual assault
On Wednesday, May 4 at 9:52 p.m. deputies received a courtesy report from Mariposa Sheriff’s Office regarding a possible sexual assault that occurred in Madera County. This report was forwarded to the detective unit for further follow up.

Coarsegold runaway juvenile
On Wednesday, May 4 at 10:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 42100 block of Titan Court regarding a report of a runaway juvenile. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Division for follow up investigation.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Thursday, May 5 at 12 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a female trying to kick out her 15-year-old son. The female had been drinking and said she wanted to hang herself. She suffered from depression and was taking medication. She was placed under a mental health evaluation hold. EMS transported her for mental health evaluation. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst trespassing
On Thursday, May 5 at 7:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Evergreen Drive regarding a subject who was trespassing on private property. The subject was caught fleeing the trailer. He had two warrants out of Mariposa and he was in possession of a glass pipe with residue. The subject was transported to county line and turned over to Mariposa Sheriff’s Office for booking. The trailer was vacant and the homeowner did not want any charges filed. Forward to the D.A’s office for charges filed.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, May 5 at 10:47 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of CA-49 regarding theft of keys to several storage rooms on the property. The Reporting Party advised that he had left the keys in the locks and they were now missing. He suspected that a female on the property may of taken them. He requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold disturbance
On Thursday, May 5 at 7:51 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 47000 blk fo Hopi Ave for a disturbance. A case was generated and the report was forwarded to the District Attorneys Office for review.

North Fork danger to self
On Thursday, May 5 at 8:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 54000 block of Pinchot Drive for a family disturbance. During the investigation, the deputy found one of the parties to be suffering from a mental episode due to her not taking her medication as prescribed. The female was sent to the hospital for evaluation.

Bass Lake mail theft and vandalism
On Friday, May 6 at 11:14 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 55000 block of Lake Point Drive regarding a mail box cluster that was broken into and vandalized. Report to be forwarded of Bass Lake Post Office. Close case.

Oakhurst civil dispute
On Friday, May 6 at 11:09 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 44900 block of Mountain Meadows Road in Oakhurst in regards to a burglary. No burglary occurred and in fact the issue was civil in nature. A report taken to document the incident. Close the case.

O’Neals mail box vandalism
On Friday, May 6 at 1:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Foxfire Drive in regard to vandalism to a mail box cluster. There were no leads. Report to be forwarded to the Oneals Post Office. Close case.

North Fork court order violation
On Friday, May 6 at 4:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 32000 block of Road 222 for a report of a court order violation. After the call was completed, the deputy had his marked patrol vehicle stuck on a brick paver. A tow truck assisted by moving the vehicle back onto the road. Case closed.

North Fork coroner’s report
On Friday, May 6 at 6:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 55000 block of Wilcox Drive for a deceased person. An investigation was completed and a report written. Forward to Madera County Chief Coroner.

Oakhurst juvenile welfare check
On Friday, May 6 at 6:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Griffin Drive regarding a welfare check on a juvenile that came to school with a black eye. An incident report was taken and forwarded to CPS.

Oakhurst assault and battery by juvenile
On Saturday, May 7 at 7:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 49000 block of Road 427 for a report of an assault and battery. The male juvenile involved was arrested, transported and booked into the Madera County Juvenile Hall. Case forward to the Madera County Juvenile Probation for further investigation.

North Fork domestic violence
On Saturday, May 7 at 11:01 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 52000 Meadow Ranch Road regarding a victim who wanted to report a domestic incident that occurred at another location. The victim claimed that 4 days ago she was assaulted by her husband. Emergency protective order was denied by the on-call judge. Refer report to D.A’s office for review of charges.

Ahwahnee domestic violence
On Saturday, May 7 at 10:44 p.m. a deputy responded to the 42000 block of Highway 41 for a medical aid call for a female subject. An investigation was completed and it was determined that the female received injuries while involved in a domestic incident. Report written and sent to District Attorney’s office for review.

Oakhurst assault
On Sunday, May 8 at 2:06 a.m. a deputy responded to the 40800 block of Highway 41 for an assault. An investigation was conducted and all parties requested that no charges be filed. Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst assault
On Sunday, May 8 at 7:48 p.m. a deputy responded to a telephonic dispatch call regarding an assault that had occurred in the area of Road 462. The reporting party was a mandated reporter at a hospital in Fresno and stated the victim did not want to report the assault, however, he was seeking treatment for his injuries. Deputy spoke to victim who did not wish to report the incident or press charges. Case closed per the victim’s request.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Sunday, May 8 at 10 p.m. while doing a check at the Oakhurst Community Park, deputies placed a subject under arrest for having two confirmed misdemeanor warrants. The subject was given a citation for the warrants and released at the scene.
