MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Oct. 9 to Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017.
Coarsegold danger to self
On Monday, Oct. 9 at 5:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to regarding a person possibly in need of a mental health evaluation hold. Upon contact the subject was determined to be a danger to himself and a protective hold was placed.
Coarsegold narcotics
On Monday, Oct. 9 at 8:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding an Health and Safety violation. A report was written, evidence obtained and case closed.
Oakhurst domestic disturbance
On Monday, Oct. 9 at 9:03 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a emergency call hang-up. After investigation it was determined to be a domestic disturbance between wife and husband. A report was written for informational purposes and the case was closed.
North Fork fraud
On Monday, Oct. 9 a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation lobby regarding a fraud report which occurred in the 53000 block of Finegold Creek. Report was written and case was closed due lack of investigative leads.
Coarsegold danger to self
On Monday, Oct. 9 at 2:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Titan Drive regarding female subject who was possibly suicidal. Per the investigation, the involved female was placed on a mental health evaluation hold. The female was transported to a hospital by ambulance for a mental health evaluation.
Oakhurst disturbance
On Monday, Oct. 9 at 3:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a disturbance call at the 40000 block of CA-41. A warning was given to involved parties, who were told to leave the area. A shopping cart with miscellaneous tools and other items was found in the area and taken back to the Oakhurst Substation and booked for safekeeping. Report was written for informational purposes only and case was closed.
North Fork danger to self
On Monday, Oct. 9 at 3:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 228 regarding a possible suicidal subject. During the investigation a male subject was transported by ambulance on a mental health evaluation hold.
Coarsegold report of domestic violence
On Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 7:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Titan Drive regarding a report of domestic violence. Case to be closed due to a lack of evidence.
Coarsegold vandalism
On Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 2:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Road 619 regarding a family disturbance and vandalism. A report was taken and charges filed.
Coarsegold juvenile located
On Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 6:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a runaway juvenile report. The juvenile was located and returned home with the reporting party.
Oakhurst assault
On Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 7:42 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Hwy – 49 regarding a physical altercation. The subject was arrested for battery and transported to county jail.
Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 9:44 a.m. a deputy located a wanted person in the area of Road 417 and CA 41. The subject was arrested and booked on the outstanding warrants and a narcotic pipe. Forward the case to the DA and probation dept.
Oakhurst civil restraining order violation
On Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 10:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 of Road 427 regarding violation of a civil restraining order. The victim requested documentation only at this time.
O’Neals juvenile narcotics
On Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 2:42 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Road 200 regarding a student who had drugs on campus. A report was taken. The student was cited and released. Forward to juvenile probation for charges.
Bass Lake cell phone found
On Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 4:34 p.m. a deputy was contacted at the Oakhurst Substation regarding a lost cell phone. The phone was located and returned to the rightful owner.
Oakhurst report of child molestation
On Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 5:47 p.m. deputies were dispatched in regards to a minor that was molested approximately two weeks ago by a male adult. Deputies conducted an interview with the reporting party over the phone. A report was taken and forwarded to detectives for additional follow-up. Case pending additional follow-up.
Coarsegold danger to self
On Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7:14 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 29000 block of N. Lilley Way to assist EMS with a female who attempted to suicide by taking pills. Deputies conducted an investigation and determined that the person was a danger to herself. The female was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to the hospital.
Coarsegold narcotics found
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 3:36 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a bag of crystal meth found by casino security. Deputies reviewed the surveillance footage and were able to identify the subject who dropped the crystal meth. A report was completed and forwarded to the DA’s office to file charges. Case close.
Oakhurst wallet found and returned
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 10:25 a.m. a deputy responded to the Oakhurst Substation for a call about a found wallet in the Oakhurst area. Deputy located the owner of the wallet and it was returned to the owner the next day.
Coarsegold theft of fencing
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 11:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Sesame Street regarding theft of fencing material. Refer report closed until further leads develop.
Oakhurst vandalism
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 11:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding a burglary of a storage shed. A report for vandalism was taken.
Oakhurst motor vehicle stop, minors with bong
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 12:35 p.m. a deputy was conducting a patrol check on vacant property in the area behind Capital Pipe. The deputy noticed a white pickup parked on a dirt road. The deputy walked down to the pickup and and watched two subjects [use] a glass bong. The deputy made contact with the subjects and found out they were minors on school lunch break. The subjects were turned over to their parents.
Coarsegold counterfeit $100 bill
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 11:56 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of Highway 41 regarding a “fictitious” $100 bill that was passed at the business. Case to be closed at this time pending further leads.
Coarsegold bad check, vehicle towed
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 12:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a fraudulent check being cashed. The suspect was contacted and found to be driving on a suspended CDL. He was cited and released. His vehicle was towed by North Star Towing. The victim was later contacted and requested charges filed. Refer to the DA’s office for charges filed.
Oakhurst anonymous report of sexual misconduct
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 1:30 p.m. a deputy was advised of an anonymous letter received at the Sheriffs Office located in the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in Oakhurst. The letter referenced sexual misconduct which needs to be investigated. A report was generated and will be forwarded to detectives.
Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 4:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of Charnal Circle regarding a theft. Report should be closed at this time due to lack of leads.
North Fork missing person
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 6:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Mission Drive regarding a missing person. A report was taken and the subject was entered into the missing persons system.
Oakhurst narcotics
On Thursday, Oct. 12 at 9:48 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of Victoria Lane and Woodbend Lane regarding subjects fighting in the roadway and breaking items. Upon arrival to the area it was determined no crime had been committed but the female was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail.
Coarsegold domestic violence
On Friday, Oct. 13 at 12:47 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 42000 block of Long Hollow Drive in regards to a verbal disturbance. Deputies conducted an investigation and learned that a female was a victim of domestic violence. One person was taken into custody and transported to Madera DOC. A report was completed and forwarded to the DA’s office to file charges.
North Fork child brings ammo to school
On Friday, Oct. 13 at 10:42 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 228 regarding a 7-year-old student taking ammunition to the school. Report for documentation purposes only.
North Fork welfare check, subject found deceased
On Friday, Oct. 13 at 7:05 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 29000 block of Road 222 for a welfare check. Upon arrival it was determined the occupant had been deceased for sometime. Cause of death is unknown at this time. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County Chief Deputy Coroner.
Coarsegold burglary
On Saturday, Oct. 14 at 11:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 Lucky Lane in regards to a theft from a hotel room. A report was taken. Close the case.
Coarsegold tire theft
On Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding theft of a tire from the bed of a pickup truck. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.
Oakhurst hypodermic needle found
On Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Civic Circle/ Highway 41 regarding a found hypodermic needle containing an unknown substance. The needle, along with substance, was later disposed of in the sharps container. Report for documentation purposes only.
Coarsegold business burglary
On Saturday, Oct. 14 at 3:44 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA 41 regarding a theft from a business. A report was taken. Suspend the case pending surveillance footage review and possible ID of suspects.
Oakhurst traffic stop, citation, vehicle towed
On Saturday, Oct. 14 at 5:04 p.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop in the area of CA 41 / Road 426 which resulted in the driver being cited for vehicle code violations and the vehicle towed. Forward to traffic court for direct filing.
Coarsegold found property
On Saturday, Oct. 14 at 5:53 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found property. Upon arrival deputies met with security and took the property to be booked.
Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Saturday, Oct. 14 at 8:09 p.m., while working uniformed patrol, deputies noticed a vehicle stopped at Comstock Road and CA Highway 41 with a driver that appeared to be passed out behind the wheel. Once deputies were able to get behind the vehicle, a traffic stopped was conducted for a vehicle code violation. Upon contacting the driver it was determined he had a felony warrant for drug related charges. The subject was arrested and transported to the Madera County Jail.
