Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Nov. 26

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Nov. 20  to Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017.

Oakhurst bicycles collected and booked as found property
On Monday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 a.m. a deputy was conducting a patrol check of the Fresno River near Hwy 41 in Oakhurst, when the deputy located two bicycles on the trail leading back to the river. The bicycles were collected and booked as safe keeping/found property. Case can be closed.

Bass Lake burglary
On Monday, Nov. 20 at 11:45 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 53000 block of Road 432 in regards to a burglary report. An investigation was conducted and a suspect identified. The scene was photographed and processed for evidence. Numerous items were seized for evidentiary processing. The suspect was later located and arrested.

Oakhurst fraud report
On Monday, Nov. 20 at 3:28 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 45000 block of Lauri Lane in regards to a report of fraud. A report was generated and closed.

Oakhurst social worker reports juvenile feels unsafe at home
On Monday, Nov. 20 at 2:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Orion Court due to a social worker calling in and stating a juvenile was saying she was not safe to return to her house. Statements were collected, photos were taken of injuries, juvenile was transported back to her parents’ house and a report was written.

Oakhurst warrant and weapon arrest
On Monday, Nov. 20 at 9:54 p.m. a deputy was patrolling in the area of CA-41 and Road 425A when a male subject was observed riding a small dirt bike southbound on CA-41. A traffic enforcement stop was conducted and the male subject was found to have a suspended driver’s license, a felony warrant out of Madera County and was in possession of a concealed dangerous weapon. During the contact specific violent threats were also made to the deputy. The male subject was arrested, transported and booked into Madera County Department of
Corrections for the warrant and related charges. Case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst child abuse
On Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 8:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a report of a child abuse that occurred at another residence located within the 43000 block of West Sugar Pine Drive. During the investigation three children were placed into protective custody although only two of the children had visible injuries. The injured children were two years old and eight months old respectively. The father who had care and custody of the children was later placed into custody. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s office for the filing of related charge.

Oakhurst trespassing citation and warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7:19 a.m. a deputy conducted a check on some property in the area of Hwy 41 and Enterprise Drive and found two subjects camping and trespassing on this property. Subjects were given warning citations of trespassing and one subject was arrested on a warrant out of Mariposa.

Coarsegold credit card fraud
On Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 8:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Ottawa Avenue regarding a fraudulent transaction with a credit card. Deputy interviewed the victim and completed a report.

Ahwahnee Coroner’s case
On Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 9:58 a.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 9:55 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 49 regarding a patient in need of a mental health evaluation hold. The subject was transported to the hospital by emergency medical services.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 6:31 p.m. a deputy responded to the 41000 block of Road 222 for a report of a possible vehicle burglary. The deputy conducted a preliminary investigation on a vehicle that was found with a broken window. No suspects were found or identified. Report was forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Thursday, Nov. 23 at 9:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Starlight Court regarding a male subject who was possibly in need of a mental health evaluation hold. The subject was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and turned over to EMS for transportation. Report for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst report of domestic disturbance
On Thursday, Nov. 23 at 11:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 regarding a possible domestic disturbance. Case for documentation purposes only at this time.

Oakhurst citation and arrest
On Thursday, Nov. 23 at 2:20 p.m. a deputy conducting a patrol check of the 49000 block of Civic Circle made contact with three subjects. One subject was arrested for a no bail warrant and a second subject was cited and released for a misdemeanor warrant out of Madera County.

Coarsegold juvenile drinking alcohol
On Friday, Nov. 24 at 12:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a juvenile drinking alcohol. Responsible parties were contacted and the juvenile was turned over to a parent.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Friday, Nov. 24 at 4:47 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration at Hwy 41 and Rd 426. The driver was arrested on a warrant out of Madera County and was cited for vehicle code violations.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, Nov. 24 at 11:37 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of Meadow Vista Drive in regards to a reporting party stating that her daughter was contemplating committing suicide. We contacted the female subject and after determining that the subject was having suicidal thoughts, she was transported for evaluation on a 5150 hold. Case can be closed.
