Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Nov. 12

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Nov. 6  to Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017.

Oakhurst warrant citation and release
On Monday, Nov. 6 at 2:56 p.m. a deputy responded to a warrant arrest with a citation and release.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Monday, Nov. 6 at 10:03 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding narcotics. Report written, arrest made, and evidence obtained.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Nov. 6 at 1:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 due to a report of a theft. Statements were collected, surveillance video recorded, suspect was contacted, stolen property was returned, and a report was written.

Oakhurst Coroner’s report
On Monday, Nov. 6 at 3:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 52000 block of Road 426 due to the reporting party stating that her husband was not breathing. Medical aid was administered and suspect passed on scene. Statements were collected, medical history of the decedent was collected, medications were collected and booked into evidence, Sierra Chapel was contacted for the removal of the decedent, and a report was written.

Bass Lake trespassing arrest
On Monday, Nov. 6 at 9:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Road 274 regarding trespassing. Upon arrival a male subject was contacted and subsequently arrested for trespassing. He was transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections. Case closed by arrest.

Coarsegold methamphetamine found
On Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 4:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of found property. During a search of the contents of the found property a small vinyl pouch was found containing about 20 individually wrapped packets of suspected methamphetamine. The owner had not yet been identified and a search of surveillance footage was in progress. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold disturbance
On Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 9:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 415 and Trabuco Road in regards to a disturbance involving a male and female. Both parties were contacted and a report was taken for documentation only. Report to be closed.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 12:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a report of a person trespassing at the 40000 block of CA-41. Upon checking the subject for wants or warrants, a Madera County warrant was discovered. The subject was cited, released and a report was written.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 12:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of River Falls Road regarding a mentally ill subject who was causing a disturbance. Subject was summarily transported to MCH for a mental health hold.

Coarsegold possible elder abuse
On Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 1:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Apache Road in regards to possible elder abuse. Statements were collected for documentation and a report was written.

Coarsegold runaway
On Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 4:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a runaway juvenile that left his residence located in the 33000 block of River Knolls Road. A report was taken and the juvenile was entered into the missing juvenile reporting system.

Oakhurst found property
On Wednesday, Nov. 8 a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding found property. The property was booked at the Oakhurst Substation for safekeeping. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold harassing phone calls
On Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 8:01 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of harassing telephone calls. A report was taken for documentation purposes only. Close the case.

Oakhurst theft of televisions from business
On Wednesday, Nov. 8 11:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding theft of two televisions from the business. The reporting party requested a report. Forward to detectives for follow up.

North Fork shots heard/misdemeanor traffic warrants
On Wednesday, Nov. 8 11:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call in the 32000 block of Tahoot Drive in regards to shots heard in the area. The deputy contacted a male in the area who had two local misdemeanor traffic warrants. Male was cited and released on both warrants without incident.

North Fork credit card fraud
On Wednesday, Nov. 8 1:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call in the 59000 block of Cascadel Drive regarding a credit card fraud. An investigation was conducted and case closed.

Coarsegold juvenile arrested
On Wednesday, Nov. 8 14:49 p.m. a deputy conducted a routine patrol check of the area of 46000 Lucky Lane which resulted in a juvenile male being arrested for various violations. Forward the case to the Madera County Juvenile Probation for charges.

Oakhurst report of possible child abuse
On Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 49000 block of Road 427 for a possible child abuse call. Child Protective Services responded to the location as well and an investigation was conducted. Case closed due to lack of evidence of crime.

Oakhurst felon in possession of a stun gun
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 1:33 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 40000 block of CA-49. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for being a felon in possession of a stun gun. The subject was cited and released. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Coarsegold assisting CHP
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 8:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Sioux Road to assist CHP on a call for service. A report taken for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 9:43 p.m. a deputy contacted a subject in the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a stolen bicycle. A report was taken. Close the case due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst driver cited, vehicle towed
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 10:37 a.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop in the area of CA 41 / Rd 426 which resulted in the driver being cited and the vehicle towed. Forward to the Superior Court for direct filing.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 2:09 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle/subject check in the area of Road 417/ Chukchansi Road. During the contact one male subject was cited and released on two misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 2:09 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle/subject check in the area of Road 417/ Chukchansi Road. During the contact a male subject was arrested for possession of controlled substance. The male subject was later cited and released. Forward case to Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges.

North Fork license plates switched, vehicle towed
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 2:44 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop at Bonnie B and Wilcox Drive regarding license plates that were switched on a vehicle. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed. Refer to traffic court for charges.

Coarsegold report on child concealment
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 3:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a courtesy report for Fresno Police Department regarding a “child concealment” case. Forward report to Fresno PD for follow-up.

O’Neals danger to self
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 4:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 200 regarding a possible suicidal female subject. The involved female was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported by emergency medical services to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold threats 
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 8:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact an adult male by phone regarding threats. The victim reported the threats were received by phone. The suspect identification is unknown. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst threats and harassing texts
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 9:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a report of threats and harassing texts messages sent by phone. Report was written for documentation purposes and case was closed.

North Fork trespassing/burglary
On Thursday, Nov. 9 at 9:32 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Tahoot Drive regarding a possible trespassing/burglary to a residence. Note: The Sheriff’s Dept Civil Division was just previously at this same residence conducting an eviction. This report is for documentation only at this time. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst domestic dispute between mother and son
On Friday, Nov. 10 at 12:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-49 regarding a 911 call hang-up. After further investigation it was determined to be a domestic dispute between mother and son. Report was written and forwarded to the Madera Probation Office for review.

Oakhurst fight
On Friday, Nov. 10 at 11:31 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 49 regarding a physical fight at a business. All parties refused medical attention and a report was written. Case closed due to both parties not requesting charges on each other.

Coarsegold verbal disturbance
On Friday, Nov. 10 at 2:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Chuckchansi Road regarding a verbal disturbance. Report for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst felony assault with deadly weapon
On Sunday, Nov. 12 at 2:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Goldside Drive regarding a female victim reporting she was just assaulted by her brother, 28. The suspect was placed in custody and booked for felony assault with a deadly weapon. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

North Fork courtesy report for Kern County crime
On Sunday, Nov. 12 at 8:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 224 in regards to a fraud investigation. It was discovered that the crime occurred in Kern County. A courtesy report was taken and shall be forwarded to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office for additional investigation.

Coarsegold theft of landscaping
On Sunday, Nov. 12 at 9:20 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of road 417 regarding a theft of landscaping plants that occurred sometime during the night. There are no suspects at this time.
