Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Mar. 5

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, Feb. 28 to Saturday, Mar. 5, 2016:

Coarsegold vandalism
On Sunday, Feb. 28 at 12:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 29900 block of Horseshoe Drive regarding a report of an attempted vandalism. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

North Fork Coroner’s report
On Sunday, Feb. 28 at 10:32 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a possible suicide in the 33000 block of Road 222. Report taken. Case to go to Chief Deputy Coroner for final disposition.

North Fork fraud
On Sunday, Feb. 28 at 2:24 p.m. a fraud was reported on the 33000 block of Road 222 in North Fork. Charges requested. Case to remain open pending follow-up.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Monday, Feb. 29 at 12:28 p.m. a deputy conducted a check on a subject who had three warrants for his arrest near Civic Circle Dr. and Hwy 41. Subject was searched and narcotics were located on the subject. Subject was cited out on the narcotic charges and on the warrants.

Oakhurst arrest
On Monday, Feb. 29 at 11:55 a.m. a deputy was on the way to assist on a call for service near a business located at the 40000 block of CA41. Dispatch advised a male subject was refusing to leave private property. Report taken, arrest made, evidence obtained, and charges to be filed with the Madera County District Attorney’s Office on the male subject.

Coarsegold trespassing
On Monday, Feb. 29 at 12:48 p.m. a Yosemite Unified School Resource Deputy advised of a trespassing incident which occurred at a teacher’s residence the previous Friday night. The incident may have involved student(s) in the teacher’s class. The incident was documented only and is being handled by school principal located at the school. The incident occurred at a residence. The incident is closed with no further action needed.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Feb. 29 at 12:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding the theft of a lawn tractor from a shed. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Raymond person in distress
On Monday, Feb. 29 at 9:41 p.m. a report was taken of a suicidal subject walking in the area of Road 600 and Road 603. Subject was located and taken to Madera Community Hospital for a mental health evaluation. Close case.

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Tuesday, Mar. 1 at 1:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 415 for a coroners report. Report taken, evidence obtained and case forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Chief Coroner for review.

North Fork domestic violence
On Tuesday, Mar. 1 at 6:35 p.m. a deputy responded to the area of the 56000 block of Ciatana Creek Road for a domestic violence report. Upon arrival the victim’s statement was obtained. The suspect fled the scene prior to deputies arrival. A report was generated and forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Tuesday, Mar. 1 at 7:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 47600 block of Hopi Avenue regarding a report of a domestic dispute. During the investigation a male adult was placed into custody for related charges and transported to the Madera County Jail. An Emergency Protective Order was obtained and served on the arrestee. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charges.

Oakhurst suicidal man
On Tuesday, Mar. 1 at 8:50 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 37000 block of Wortham Road for a suicidal subject. Upon arrival the subject put a knife to his own throat and cut himself. Subject was talked down by deputies on scene, and the subject was transported to Madera Community Hospital.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, Mar. 2 at 12:00 a.m., the staff at the 50000 block of Road 427 advised the School Resource Deputy that overnight their maintenance storage area fence was cut. There was nothing noticed missing or disturbed inside the yard. Investigation started.

Ahwahnee burglary
On Wednesday, Mar. 2 at 9 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 45000 Duke Circle regarding theft of medication and a drivers license from a purse inside the residence. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst juvenile with weapon
On Wednesday, Mar. 2 at 10:25 a.m. a Yosemite Unified School Resource Deputy was advised by campus staff that a student had in his possession a knife at the campus located at the 50000 block of Road 427. An investigation was done and the juvenile was arrested and booked at the Madera County Juvenile Hall.

North Fork person reported missing
On Wednesday, Mar. 2 at 10:31 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Dogwood Drive in regards to an incomplete 911 call from a residence. Upon arrival, it was discovered that there was no emergency. The resident wished to report her husband as missing. The husband’s whereabouts were discovered. Report to be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, Mar. 2 at 2:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 51000 Road 423 regarding theft of two old batteries from outside a barn. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst child molestation
On Wednesday, Mar. 2 at 3:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation located in the 48000 block of Liberty Drive for a report of a child molestation. Case forward to detectives for further investigation.

Bass Lake theft
On Wednesday, Mar. 2 at 5:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Acorn in regards to theft. A report was generated for documentation. There were no witnesses or physical evidence located at the scene. Report to be closed.

North Fork identity theft
On Thursday, Mar. 3 at 8:06 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 31000 Ellis Way regarding several accounts that were opened in the victim’s name. An ID theft packet was turned in. Report taken for documentation. Requesting this report be suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Thursday, Mar. 3 at 1:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 425B and Road 426 regarding transients setting up a tent. Three subjects were contacted and one of them had outstanding warrants out of Mariposa County. This subject was subsequently turned over to the Mariposa Sheriff’s Department for booking. The other two subjects were ordered to leave the area per the party responsible. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold person transported
On Thursday, Mar. 3 at 3:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Skyline Ridge Road and Highway 41 for a report of unknown male laying on the side of the road. No arrest was made. The male subject was transported by ambulance to a hospital for a psychological evaluation. Case closed.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Thursday, Mar. 3 at 9:37 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 29000 block of Revis Way for a report of a domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived on scene and no arrest were made but a case was generated for future reference.

Oakhurst report of false imprisonment
On Friday, Mar. 4 at 9 a.m. a deputy was contacted by an adult female who reported an incident of false imprisonment that occurred in the 51000 block of Dorstan Drive. Report to be forwarded to the detective unit for review.

Oakhurst fraud
On Friday, Mar. 4 at 12:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to conduct a telephonic report of possible fraud that occurred in the 51000 block of Dorstan Drive. Report taken for documentation only. Case to be closed.

O’Neals juvenile narcotics
On Friday, Mar. 4 at 12:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 45000 Road 200 regarding two juveniles involved in a drug transaction. Both juveniles were cited and released to their parents. Refer to Juvenile Probation for charges filed.

Oakhurst fraud
On Friday, Mar. 4 at 1:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located in the 49000 block of Hartwell Road in regards to a possible fraud report. A report is taken for documentation only. Case to be forwarded to the detective unit for possible follow up.

Coarsegold juvenile paraphernalia citation
On Friday, Mar. 4 at 2:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 45000 Road 200 regarding a student in possession of a paraphernalia pipe. The student was cited and released. Requesting this report be forwarded to Madera Juvenile Probation of charges filed.

Bass Lake assault
On Friday, Mar. 4 at 6:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Madera Community Hospital in regards to an assault that occurred in Bass Lake. Report was taken and closed, awaiting victim’s decision on whether to pursue charges or not.

Oakhurst welfare check on infant
On Friday, Mar. 4 at 10:22 p.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the area of School Road and Road 427 in regarding the welfare check of a new born baby. Deputy did not locate the mother or the new born baby due to lack of information from the reporting party of this incident. The mother and baby were later located and identified by another deputy, refer to related report number.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Friday, Mar. 4 at 11:11 p.m. deputies responded to the 40000 blk of CA-41 for a report of subjects jumping the fence into a storage area. Subjects were located and two were found to have outstanding warrants. Both subjects were detained then cited and released on pending warrants out of Madera County.

Ahwahnee domestic dispute
On Saturday, Mar. 5 at 4:54 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of CA-49 and Windsong Way for a report of a domestic dispute. Duirng the investigations a case was generated and charges were filed with the District Attorney’s Office for review. No arrest were made at this time.

Ahwahnee welfare hold on infant
On Saturday, Mar. 5 at 9:36 a.m. a deputy went to an address at the block of 41000 CA-49 in an attempt to locate a subject for a welfare check on a baby that was born at the residence yesterday. The father had an outstanding felony warrant and was arrested. The child was turned over to EMS and a welfare hold was placed on the child. Requesting this report be forwarded to DPO Rodriguez and to Madera County Child Protective Services for information.

Oakhurst civil dispute
On Saturday, Mar. 5 at 11:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to conduct a telephonic report regarding a civil dispute between neighbors. A report is taken for documentation only. Both parties are seeking legal counsel and will address the issue in civil court. Report to be closed.
