Sheriff’s Crime Log Through June 12

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, June 5 to Sunday, June 12, 2016:

North Fork assault
On Sunday, June 5 at 1:31 a.m. a deputy responded to the 55000 blk of Wilcox Drive for a report of an assault. After conducting an investigation, a suspect was identified but was not located. Case was forwarded to detectives for review, and to the DA’s office for charges to be filed. Suspect still outstanding.

North Fork coroner’s investigation
On Sunday, June 5 at 6:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Woaka Poyah in regards to a coroner investigation. Upon arrival, it was determined that the death was involving an 85 year old female. The death appeared to be from natural causes and according to the family, her death was expected. This report is to be forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner for review.

Raymond domestic violence
On Sunday, June 5 at 8:14 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a telephonic report regarding possible domestic violence. Both parties are subsequently contacted and an emergency protective order is issued. Report to be submitted to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges. No arrest were made due to conflicting statements and no visible injuries.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Sunday, June 5 at 10:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Victoria Lane regarding a female saying that she wanted to kill herself. Report taken and subject sent to Madera Community Hospital for mental health evaluation. Report to be closed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Sunday, June 5 at 10:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Veater Ranch Road in regards to a residential burglary report. The victims believed that the suspect is possibly their estranged adult son. No physical evidence or forced entry is located at the scene. Case to be suspended, due to a lack of investigative leads/ evidence. Attempts to contact the suspect will be made.

Bass Lake threats
On Sunday, June 5 at 12:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the reporting party regarding some threats made by a female juvenile via social media. Report taken for documentation. Case to be closed.

Raymond assault
On Sunday, June 5 at 4:17 p.m. a deputy took an assault report that occurred at that 33000 block of Road 800. All parties were contacted and their statements were received. The report was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Monday, June 6 at 12:11 a.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle check in the area of CA-41 and Van Teri Road on a vehicle that was parked on the side of the road with its emergency flashers on. Subject is found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Report written and case closed by arrest.

Coarsegold theft
On Monday, June 6 at 6:54 a.m. a deputy located two empty parcel packages in the roadway of Lilley Mountain Drive. It was discovered that the parcel boxes located at Lilley Mountain Drive and Meadow Lane had been broken into. There were no suspect(s) in this case. No physical evidence was located at the scene. Case to be closed.

North Fork theft
On Monday, June 6 at 8:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding theft of some items from several cars in the area. Report taken. Case to remain open for follow up.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, June 6 at 9:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Golden Oak Drive regarding theft of property from a local business. Report taken, no evidence obtained, no arrests made and detective notified.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Monday, June 6 at 10:16 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call for service via phone in Oakhurst regarding a report of mail theft. Report taken, no evidence obtained, no arrests made and case closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, June 6 at 10:52 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding a stolen spruce tree. Report taken, evidence obtained, no arrests made, and case closed.

Raymond vandalism
On Monday, June 6 at 11:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a vandalism that occurred in the 32000 block of Road 608. There were no suspect(s) and no physical evidence was located at the scene. Report to be closed.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Monday, June 6 at 12:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a theft that occurred in the area of Yosemite Springs Parkway and Long Hollow Drive. A package was stolen from a community mail box. There are no suspect(s) or physical evidence. Report to be closed.

Oakhurst warrant and narcotics
On Monday, June 6 at 8:58 p.m. a deputy placed a subject under arrest for having a confirmed warrant out of Madera County. Subject was also found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. Subject was transported and booked into Madera Department of Corrections

Oakhurst criminal threats
On Tuesday, June 7 at 4:41 a.m. a deputy responded to the 48000 block of Road 620 regarding a report of criminal threats. A subject was subsequently arrested and transported to the county jail for criminal threats and felony vandalism. Case to be forwarded to the district attorney’ office for prosecution. Case closed.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Tuesday, June 7 at 7 a.m. deputies served a search warrant in the 41000 block of Hidden Falls Way for a marijuana grow. Two subjects were arrested, along with two firearms seized and 12,000 plants were pulled.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Tuesday, June 7 at 10:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of River Falls Road in regards to a possible domestic violence incident. Upon arrival both subjects were contacted. Due to conflicting statements and the circumstances involved, no arrests were made. The female refused to pursue charges and only wanted the male to leave the residence. The male complied and agreed to leave for the day. Report taken for documentation only.

Coarsegold theft
On Monday, June 6 at 4:18 p.m. a deputy was working casino detail and was requested by security in regards to a theft. A report was generated for documentation purposes. Close the case.

Coarsegold domestic violence order violation
On Wednesday, June 8 at 8:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 46000 block of Oonay Nation Road in regards to a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. The offender was arrested and booked on misdemeanor charges. Forward the case to the Madera County District Attorneys Office for charges.

Coarsegold coroner’s case
On Wednesday, June 8 at 11:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Revis Road in regards to a coroner case. A report taken. The decedent removed. Forward the case to the coroners unit.

Coarsegold burglary
On Wednesday, June 8 at 1:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Longo Road regarding a cold residential burglary. The burglary was reported to have occurred sometime within the last month. There were no leads, case to be closed.

Oakhurst robbery
On Wednesday, June 8 at 4:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-41 regarding a subject who reportedly came into the business (EZ Mart) and told the clerk that he had a gun and stole a bottle of brandy. The clerk said that he was in fear for his safety. The suspect fled the scene and was not located at that time. Requesting this report be forwarded to the D.A’s office for charges filed.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, June 8 at 6:59 a deputy was dispatched to a church located in the 39000 block of Black Road for a report of vandalism to a church window. The were no witnesses to the crime. No arrest were made.Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Wednesday, June 8 at 6:46 p.m. a deputy responded to the 39000 blk of Giant Oak Road for a welfare check. Deputies contacted the subject and found her be in need of a mental health evaluation hold. A hold was put on her and she was transported to MCH for evaluation.

Oakhurst coroner’s report
On Wednesday, June 8 at 11:23 p.m. a deputy responded to the 42000 blk of Buckeye Road for a report of a self inflicted gunshot. On arrival, it was found that the subject was deceased. After completing the investigation, it was determined that the subject died of a self inflicted gun shot to the head. The case will be forwarded to the detective unit for review.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Thursday, June 9 at 1:25 a.m. deputies responded to the 33000 blk. of Road 400 for a report of a male subject out of control. A report was generated and the case was closed.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Thursday, June 9 at 6:14 a.m. a deputy contacted a subject near the A-1 Mini Storage and Winding Way. She had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for her arrest for traffic violations. She was cited and released at the scene. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst disturbance
On Thursday, June 9 at 10:27 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a senior rehabilitation center in regards to a resident who pulled the fire alarm. The deputy contacted the resident and hopefully solved the issues. A report taken for documentation purposes only.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Thursday, June 9 at 6:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 46000 block of Veater Ranch Road for a report of vandalism to a vehicle. No arrest was made. The alleged suspect was gone prior to the Deputy arrival. Case forward to the Madera County District Attorney to pursue the charges against the alleged suspect.

Oakhurst arrest
On Friday, June 10 at 9:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 426 and Elliott Drive regarding an in-progress violation of a criminal protective order. The suspect resisted arrest while placing him into custody. The suspect was booked at the jail. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst warrant
On Friday, June 10 at 8:04 p.m. deputies responded to the 42000 block of Buckeye Road for smoke coming from a vacant residence. A report was generated for a warrant arrest and the case was closed. No fire was located during this investigation.

North Fork vandalism
On Saturday, June 11 at 2:49 a.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle check behind the Bass Fork Mini Mart located on the 54000 block of Road 200. The vehicle was found vandalized. The registered owner was not able to be located and a case number was issued and a report written.

Oakhurst narcotics citation
On Sunday, June 12 at midnight, a deputy conducted a patrol check in the 49100 block of Road 426 and contacted a male subject. The subject was subsequently arrested, cited and released for possession of a control substance and paraphernalia and five active misdemeanor warrants. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s office and Madera County Superior Court for prosecution.

Coarsegold theft
On Sunday, June 12 at 1:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 30200 block of Road 400 regarding a report of a theft. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold burglary
On Sunday, June 12 at 6:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 47100 block of Forrest Glenn Road regarding a report of a vandalism. During the course of the investigation it was determined the damage was caused during the course of a burglary. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

North Fork disturbance
On Sunday, June 12 at 5:49 p.m. a deputy responded to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a theft report. The involved parties were unable to prove who the items belonged to and they did not want file charges against each other. Report taken for documentation purposes only. Case closed.

Oakhurst disturbance
On Sunday, June 12 at 8:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to an assisted care facility located within the 40100 block of CA-49 regarding a report of a patient acting out and making threats to staff. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.

Oakhurst disturbance
On Sunday, June 12 at 8:56 p.m. a deputy was was dispatched to a business located within the 40400 block of CA-41 regarding a customer that refused to leave the restroom. The male customer (arrestee) had been locked in the restroom for over one hour and refused to leave or allow any other patron to use the facility. Arrestee was advised by the owner of the business and deputies to exit the restroom and leave the business but he refused. The owner of the business wanted charges filed against arrestee for trespassing and gave permission to force entry into the restroom. Arrestee was placed into custody and during arrest he demonstrated a slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet and had an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Arrestee was booked at the Madera County Jail. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charges.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Sunday, June 12 at 6:08 p.m. a deputy working the Chukchansi Casino detail received a report of a possible domestic disturbance on Lucky Lane. An adult male and female were subsequently arrested for being drunk in public, obstruction, and resisting arrest. The female also had a local warrant for a public intoxication violation. Both subjects were booked into the Madera County Jail and charges are to be filed.
