Sheriff’s Crime Log Through July 31

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, July 24 to Sunday, July 31, 2016:

Oakhurst robbery
On Sunday, July 24 at 1:55 a.m. a report was taken for a robbery which occurred in the 50800 block of Road 632. Evidence was collected and two suspects were identified. This case is to remain open for additional investigation.

North Fork shoplifting
On Sunday, July 24 at 8:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a male subject shoplifting at a local market. Report was taken, evidence obtained, and case forwarded to Mountain Detectives.

Raymond robbery
On Sunday, July 24 at 1:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 600 regarding a male subject who came into a store, put an item down his pants and pushed and shoved a store clerk at a local business and left. Report written, arrest made, charges filed on male subject, and case closed by arrest.

Coarsegold criminal threats and elder abuse
On Sunday, July 24 at 7:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 417 regarding an out of control subject who had been drinking and causing a disturbance. After further investigation, the male subject was arrested for criminal threats and elder abuse. Case will be forwarded to Madera County DA’s office.

Oakhurst runaway
On Sunday, July 24 at 9:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Courtney Lane in regards to a runaway juvenile and a report was taken. The juvenile was entered into the system and then removed, as the juvenile returned prior to the the report being completed.

Ahwahnee burglary
On Monday, July 25 a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Hilltop Lane regarding a cold burglary report. Report taken. Case to be suspended.

Wilderness search and rescue
On Monday, July 25 at 1:29 p.m. California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) received a spot activation alert from the wilderness area near Lake Catherine in eastern Madera County. The alert came into the Cal OES office as an SOS with no further details. CHP helicopters H40 and H20 were utilized to locate and assess the situation, and H20 evacuated an
injured hiker to CRMC in Fresno for emergency medical treatment.

Coarsegold sex crime
On Monday, July 25 at 2:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Road 416 regarding a parent who discovered that his daughter is having sex. Report written, evidence obtained, no arrests made and case forwarded to detectives for review.

O’Neals attempted burglary
On Tuesday, July 26 at 1:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Spring Valley Elementary School located within the 46600 block of Road 200 regarding a report of an attempted burglary. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Tuesday, July 26 at 5:25 a.m. a deputy conducted a bicycle stop in the area of Road 426 and Civic Circle. The subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine smoking pipe. The subject was arrested and booked at the Madera County Jail. Report written and case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst Coroner’s case
On Tuesday, July 26 at 10 a.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Tuesday, July 26 at 10:02 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Winding Way regarding a report of vandalism. Report taken, no evidence obtained and case closed.

Wilderness theft
On Wednesday, July 27 at 8:55 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call for service regarding a theft which occurred in the Sierra Mountains while hiking in the Ansel Adams Wilderness area. Report taken and case closed.

North Fork Coroner’s case
On Wednesday, July 27 at 1:44 p.m. a deputty responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold theft
On Wednesday, July 27 at 2:57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call for service via phone regarding a report of theft located at the 34000 block of Memory Lane. A report was taken and case closed.

North Fork vandalism
On Wednesday, July 27 at 9:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Highway 49 regarding a dispute between mother and son. It was determined that a misdemeanor vandalism was committed by the mother but the victim did not wish to pursue any charges. Case closed, no further action required.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Thursday, July 28 at 1 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Chukchansi Casino located at 46536 Lucky Lane regarding a male in possession of a syringe. Upon arrival deputy was advised the subject had fled the casino on foot towards Road 417. No syringe was found at the casino. The subject was contacted by deputies on Road 417 near Chukchansi Road. During a subsequent search of his person the subject was found to be in possession of a glass pipe, consistent with the use of controlled substances. He was booked at the Madera County Jail. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charge.

Oakhurst danger to the community
On Thursday, July 28 at 8:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 43000 Badger Hollow regarding a subject who was screaming and had discharged his firearm. The subject was later determined to be a danger to the community and had a revolver in his waist band on his property when deputies contacted him. He was turned over to EMS for a mental health evaluation hold. Refer report closed.

North Fork domestic violence
On Thursday, July 28 at 10:47 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a domestic violence incident. The suspect was located and arrested for domestic battery. An Emergency Protection Order was also issued to the suspect. This report is to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Thursday, July 28 at 12:44 a deputy was dispatched to a confidential location regarding a domestic incident. The victim advised that she was assaulted by her husband and had visible injuries. The male subject was later located and arrested. He was transported to the Madera County Jail. Refer to the D.A’s office for charges filed.

Bass Lake domestic violence
On Thursday, July 28 at 2:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Pines Resort Administration Office regarding a domestic violence that just occurred. The suspect left the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival. This report is to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Thursday, July 28 at 4:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 50000 Cedar Valley Drive regarding a female who was causing a family disturbance. After further investigation the female wanted to get a knife and kill herself. She was placed under a mental health evaluation hold and transported by EMS to Madera Community Hospital.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, July 29 at 5:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of 46000 Beechwood Drive in regards to an elderly female who dialed 911 and advised unknown people were in her house. A protective hold was placed pursuant to mental health evaluation hold. Close the case.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Friday, July 29 at 10:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Kit Carson Court regarding a possible domestic disturbance. This incident was determined to be a mental health call. A female patient was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to a hospital by ambulance. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst fraud
On Friday, July 29 at 2:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to lobby traffic in regards to a local business which had some unauthorized charges against their bank account. A report was taken. Close the case.

North Fork damage to county property
On Friday, July 29 at 9:30 p.m. a case was generated for damages to county property. The case was submitted for future
reference and the case was closed.

North Fork domestic violence
On Friday, July 29 at 1:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a civil dispute regarding property located at the block of 57000 Road 225. A domestic violence protection order was served and later given to Victim Services. The male was allowed to pick up his truck.

North Fork disturbance
On Saturday, July 30 at 8:59 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 in regards to an unknown male who was making odd statements inside of a business. The male refused to leave when the reporting party asked him to. The male was gone upon arrival. A report was taken for documentation. Report to be closed.

Oakhurst bicycle found
On Saturday, July 30 a deputy was dispatched to the block of 37000 China Creek Road regarding a found bicycle in the creek by the residence. Report taken for documentation.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Saturday, July 30 at 9:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Winner’s Circle for a report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, the incident was determined to be a possible vandalism. Report taken and forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney for review.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Sunday, July 31 at 8:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 40900 block of Goldside Drive, regarding a report of a domestic dispute. During the investigation it was determined the dispute was verbal only. A subsequent record check revealed the arrestee had several outstanding misdemeanor warrants for her arrest. She was placed into custody for outstanding warrants and transported to the Madera County Jail, where she was booked into custody. This case has been closed.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Sunday, July 31 at 11 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 41 at Victoria Lane. The male passenger had an outstanding warrant was cited and given a new court date for his misdemeanor warrant.
