Sheriff’s Crime Log Through July 16

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, July 10, to Sunday, July 16, 2017:

Coarsegold trespassing
On Monday, July 10, at 11:58 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a property in the 33000 block of Skyline Ridge Trail in regards to a trespassing call. The suspect is later contacted. Statements are obtained from all involved parties. This report was taken for documentation only.

Marijuana grow eradication
On Monday, July 10, at 8 a.m. deputies were assisted by the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP) to conduct a marijuana eradication operation in the 51000 block of Road 200.

Coarsegold theft of kid goat
On Monday, July 10, at midnight, a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Rodeo Grounds Lane regarding a theft of a baby goat. An investigation was completed and suspect had been identified. The baby goat was later returned and the case was closed. A report was written for documentation purposes.

Coarsegold burglary
On Monday, July 10, at 7:18 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding a residential burglary. Upon arrival it was determined suspect(s) had entered the home through a garage door and a house door. Photographs and evidence were collected at the scene.

Oakhurst theft from unlocked vehicle
On Tuesday, July 11, at 9:48 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a hotel in the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a theft from an unlocked vehicle. A report taken. Close the case.

O’Neals marijuana grow eradication
On Tuesday, July 11, at 6 a.m., deputies were assisted by Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP) personnel in conducting a marijuana eradication operation in the 50000 block of Road 200 in O’Neals.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Tuesday, July 11, at 10:30 a.m., a deputy responded to a residence in the 34000 block of Jennifer Lane regarding an adult causing a disturbance. The subject was found to be a danger to others due to his mental condition and placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to MCH for evaluation.

Oakhurst assault
On Tuesday, July 11, at 1:17 p.m., deputies dispatched to the 51000 block of Road 426 in regards to an assault. A report taken. The victim wanted nothing done. Close the case.

Oakhurst forgery
On Tuesday, July 11, at 3:05 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Sky Ranch Road regarding a report of check fraud. The reported suspect has a possible address out of Fresno. This report is to be forwarded to detectives for follow up.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Tuesday, July 11, at 3:08 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Road 426 regarding vandalism. The report was related to a prior call for service where a report was taken. This case to be referred to the D.A. for review of possible vandalism charges.

Coarsegold assault
On Tuesday, July 11, at 3:16 p.m., a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic assault. The suspect fled prior to arrival and was later located at another residence in the 31000 block of Road 400. The suspect ran into heavy brush and evaded arrest. Charges were filed with the D.A.

Oakhurst report of domestic violence
On Tuesday, July 11, at 3:54 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 426 regarding a possible domestic violence incident. The reported victim declined to pursue charges. This incident is for documentation only at this time. Case to be closed.

Bass Lake water rescue
On Wednesday, July 12. at 9:24 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Angel Falls and Road 274 regarding a subject who had slipped in the water and was stuck in water. Units responded Code 3 and the subject was rescued. The subject was not hurt and refused medical attention. Refer report closed.

Bass Lake marijuana eradication
On Monday, July 10, at 9 a.m., U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement Officers (USFS LEOs) conducted marijuana eradication operation with the Sierra National Forest, east of Road 274 in Bass Lake.

Oakhurst assault
On Wednesday, July 12. at 11:36 a.m., 11:36 a.m. deputies dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 in Oakhurst regarding a suspicious person. Deputies contacted the subjects involved and it was determined a domestic violence incident occurred. Both parties were arrested and booked due to not being able to determine the aggressor.

Oakhurst runaway juvenile located
On Wednesday, July 12, at 1:18 p.m., a deputy was flagged down at the Pizza Factory located at the block of 41000 CA-41 regarding a run away 17-year-old female. The reporting party requested a report for documentation. Refer report closed as juvenile was located and returned to her mother.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Wednesday, July 12, at 1:55 p.m., a deputy responded to a residence in the 40000 block of Meadow Vista Dr regarding a breathing but non responsive adult who overdosed on prescription medication. The subject was placed on a Welfare and Institutions 5150 hold and transported to a hospital. His mental health case worker was advised. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, July 12, at 1:58 p.m., a deputy dispatched to the 56000 block CA 41 in the Oakhurst area in regards to a commercial burglary. A report was taken. Forward
to detectives for follow up.

Oakhurst mower and utility trailer stolen
On Wednesday, July 12, at 1:49 p.m., a deputy responded to a residence in the 40000 block of Road 425A regarding a burglary. A mower and small utility trailer were taken. No strong leads at this time. Possible suspect was reported to be an older white male driving a newer model dark red Ford F150 with Oklahoma plates.

Raymond runaway juvenile
On Wednesday, July 12, at 5:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a telephone report regarding a runaway juvenile from the 35000 block of Merced Street. The juvenile’s info was entered into the system and the juvenile was already on probation.

Coarsegold mental health evaluation
On Wednesday, July 12, at 5:57 p.m., deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a combative subject. The subject was contacted and after an evaluation, the subject was placed on a WC 5150 hold and sent to the hospital for an evaluation.

Ahwahnee child protective services case
On Thursday, July 13, at 8:58 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 42000 block of Windy Gap Drive regarding a CPS referral from 2016. Report referred and closed as the victims’ mother requested no charges or further investigation.

Oakhurst coroner’s case
On Thursday, July 13, at 9:54 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Lauri Lane regarding a coroner’s case. Forwarded to Deputy Chief Coroner for follow-up.

Raymond money box stolen
On Thursday, July 13, at 10:02 a.m., a deputy responded to a lake in the 25000 block of Road 407 regarding the theft of money box. There are no suspect leads.

North Fork passenger provides false info to deputy
On Thursday, July 13, at 11:45 a.m., a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 200 and Weatherly Lane in North Fork. The driver was cited for vehicle code violations and a passenger was cited for providing a false name to law enforcement. Forward the case to the DA for charges.

North Fork traffic stop leads to arrests on warrants
On Thursday, July 13, at 12:40 p.m., a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 200 / Road 222 in North Fork which resulted in the driver and a passenger being arrested on outstanding arrest warrants. Close the case.

North Fork social media harassment
On Thursday, July 13, at 2:10 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Mountain Lane in North Fork regarding harassment via social media. A report was taken. Case forwarded to the DA for review of possible charges.

North Fork found property
On Thursday, July 13, at 6:51 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block regarding found property. Some property was booked for destruction the other for safekeeping. Report for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst arrest for stolen vehicle
On Friday, July 14, at 12:14 a.m., deputies were contacted by a victim of a vehicle theft in the area of CA Highway 41 and Civic Circle. It was later determined the victim had a vehicle taken from him that had not been reported as stolen yet. Upon checking the area of Road 426, deputies located the vehicle that was occupied by a single subject. Deputies were able to conduct a vehicle stop and the driver of the vehicle, who did not have permission to drive the vehicle was taken into custody. The driver was booked into jail and the vehicle was turned over to its rightful owner. Report to be sent to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office.

Bass Lake juvenile camper assault
On Friday, July 14, at 8:22 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of Road 222 regarding an assault between two juvenile campers. A report taken. Close the case.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, July 14, at 8:44 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to take a report over the phone regarding a theft that occurred in the 40000 block of CA-41. After speaking with the reporting party, a report was filed. Case should be closed at this time due to lack of leads.

Oakhurst possible elder financial abuse
On Friday, July 14, at 12:22 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Redbud Drive regarding a possible elder financial abuse case. After completing the investigation, it was determined that the possible victim did not suffer any monetary loss. A general incident report was created for documentation purposes only.

North Fork report sent to narcotics team
On Friday, July 14, at 1:37 p.m., a deputy was flagged down by a pedestrian at the North Fork Market about suspicious circumstances in the 31000 block of Kinsman Flat Road. A report was taken. Forward the case to MADNET.

Raymond habitual runaway
On Friday, July 14, at 12:34 p.m., a deputy took a runaway juvenile report for a juvenile who lives in the 30000 block of East Street in Raymond. Juvenile is a habitual runaway.

Oakhurst emergency protective order
On Friday, July 14, at 2:07 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 53000 block of Hidden Meadow Road in regards to an assault. A report taken and an emergency protection order granted and served. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Oakhurst public intox in the park
On Friday, July 14, at 8:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Oakhurst Park regarding an Hispanic male subject who was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. It was determined the subject was unable to care for himself and he was taken into custody for public intoxication before being booked into the Madera County Jail. Case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

Oakhurst trespasser arrested for warrants
On Sunday, July 16, at 8:30 p.m., a deputy was patrolling in the 40000 block of CA-41 near Napa Auto Parts when a male subject was observed trespassing on the property. The male subject was contacted and was found to have two misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County. The subject was also found to had been given a warning of trespassing at this very same location 2 weeks prior. The male subject was arrested for trespassing and the warrants. He was transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections. Case closed by arrest.
